I feel 1) and 3) were him testing the waters to see how the general public would feel about him making some kind of comeback into public life.
I think judging by the reactions I have seen the consensus is an overwhelming "no" !

This idea that she and the rest of them are fundamentally just like us is the biggest problem. They prove time and again they aren't, don't think like us or live like us. Then conversely that is used as a rationale to keep them too when raised.
There's literally no reason to support the monarchy unless you're on the gravy train.
