Boris vote sweepstake 11:02 - Jun 6 with 4640 views | bluelagos | 359 votes to split for/against Johnson. I'll predict Johnson 252 Against 104 Non votes 3 (Which I reckon means he limps on for maybe 6 more months much like May did before they get the knives out for the final kill) [Post edited 6 Jun 2022 11:03]

Boris vote sweepstake on 20:06 - Jun 6 by pointofblue | Anything over 100 makes his position difficult; 150 is almost untenable no matter what Hypocrite Rees-Mogg says, who stated Theresa May should go after winning her confidence vote 200-117. I think the vote will probably be around the 100 mark - maybe just under. One of those votes that almost leaves everything in limbo. |
eh ? If there are 100 who want rid of him they just have to abstain in any Commons vote (never mind voting against) unable to pass legislation, he would have little choice but to resign so either the Tory party rids itself of him, or the opposition does he is finished either way

I think quite a few of the 99, let's say, will accept the vote and move on rather than exerting more pressure - at least until the by election results are in from later in the month and, if they're horrific, they may be able to turn the screw again. Part of me thinks they should have waited until the by election results as they would have had a better chance of getting shot of him.

Boris vote sweepstake on 19:46 - Jun 6 by N2_Blue | I make you wrong. You underestimate the thickness of much of the populace. Various local community SM groups I am a member of are full of posts such as the ones you state are on Twitter and they are real people, not bots unfortunately. |
After yelling at the radio for about 10 minutes just before 8pm when a couple of old blue rinse biddies were politely slugging it out on R5l (think billiard balls wrapped in blue velvet) I fear you could be right

Boris vote sweepstake on 06:51 - Jun 7 with 569 views | ElephantintheRoom | Irrelevant what the result is. Timing is all. Johnson wins a humiliating victory - backed by the likes of Coffey, Rees-Smug, NotsoCleverly et al. And then come two humiliating by elections. He’s doomed to go in weeks

They may unite to get rid but will be even more divided when they try to find his successor.

Boris vote sweepstake on 19:38 - Jun 6 by HARRY10 | If there are only 80 who want him gone he is finished, as they dont have to do anything but abstain during any attempt at passing legislation in Parliament If only 40 vote against, he is finished the problem in that scenario is ' control', as it passes to the opposition - they decide when he goes |
Looks like what I predicted has already started https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/jun/07/rebel-tories-plan-vote-strikes- "Rebel Conservative MPs are drawing up plans for “vote strikes” to paralyse law-making and capitalise on the dramatic Boris Johnson no-confidence vote. Some of the 148 MPs who voted to oust the prime minister on Monday said they would try to stymie his government’s legislative agenda, as happened at the end of the Theresa May era, by abstaining on key laws."
