but a band/artiste you can't stand in that genre. Only one genre and one band.
Rock and Def Leppard. I hate their music with a passion.

Trad folk and Shirley Collins - sounds like bloody Hilda Ogden.

Again under the rock label, I can’t see what people see in U2 or Nickleback. :o)

Kiss. Talentless sh1t.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

The Robbie Wiliams of rock bands. Terrific showmen, terrible songs performed by awful, smug c***s

Prog rock. Mostly Autumn. Should be renamed 'Mostly Awful'. They are loved by many, many fans of so many bands I like, but I just don't get them.

What genre are the Killers? They're a band that I've never got and now just can't stand. And Mr Brightside is the most overrated song of the last 20 years!

This, x 10. Bloody dreadful band.

My personal contribution - Grunge and Pearl Jam. Eddie Vedder can stick his warbly goat vocal up his bum.

Afraid I'm one of the MA lovers. Saw them many times, mostly during the Heather Findlay era.

When it comes to Prog, mine is Soft Machine. Too noodly for me.

King Crimson for me. Not so much hate, but never clicked the way Genesis or Yes did for me.

But my favourite genre is Soul and I can’t stand James Brown.

Guns N Roses & Scouting For Girls. Both are arguably the worst.

DL have a few bangers though. Pour Some Sugar and Let’s Get Rocked for a start.

Gonna say I never got Pearl Jam either. But if we’re gonna benchmark Grunge scene hellscapes, surely Audioslave were worse?! Soundgarden + RATM = The blandest midddle-of-the-road rock imaginable was not what I expected.

The album Hysteria by Def Leppard is magnificently overproduced cliched cock rock, and despite that I love it. I shouldn't like it at all, but it is so relentlessly daft I can't get enough of it.

Appetite for Destruction is one of the greatest rock albums ever, albeit (like most hard rock of the era) some of the lyrics a dubious now. The two Use Your Illusion albums are mostly terrible though, bar a handful of great tunes.

I guess what I have listened most to over the decades are singer/songwriters (whether it be the one person and a guitar variety such as Johnny Cash or the rarely without a full band variety such as Van Morrison.) There is a sense of awe when someone comes up with a meaningful set of words, sets them to music, performs tunefully and connects with an audience. So whilst I cannot say that I can't stand Roger Whittaker I never warmed to him in the way that I did to almost everyone else I saw on television back in the sixties. Never saw him live so maybe that would change my opinion but there are a lot of well known singer songwriters who I have never seen live that I appreciate much more.
