Heard from a few people that the screen has had problems and won't be finished before the start of the season

As long it’s ready at the start of the season then it’ll be ok.

Unless you heard it from FutureJackSted I wouldn’t worry too much.

We've got by this long without one, so I'm sure a couple more weeks wont hurt.

It's not essential, but I think it's time we had one.

I itial problems started with sourcing the actual screen. The initial supplier couldn't provide I believe due to chip shortage. I know they have looked to tender stuff through other local companies. Global issue though, supply of the tech will be really problematic

I guess as long as the groundworks are completed there won't be an issue with the installation taking place during the season.

Depends if they can physically get the screen into the ground without opening up the corner of the stadium again I would guess.

I assume the corner of the stand will now remain a permanent opening (obviously not to just allow people to walk in), as it was done primarily to allow access for the big machinery that will be required for the pitch work next season (and I guess the trucks etc that may accompany stage structures for future concerts too).

Cool, maybe they'll upgrade the injury tractor to a full sized Dominator to come piling in whenever the opposition dislocate an eyelash

What's the foundations currently being put in the ground in the gap? If it's perm open whats that being built there? Or is there going to be an open gap with the screen over the top and those bars are just side walls being built?

Side retaining walls, I believe. The screen was going over the top of the gap in the visuals if I remember correctly. Presumably a gate will go in the gap?
