I realised whilst watching MOTD on Saturday evening that I can't remember ever seeing us on it, I first attended a game in 92 and the years in the Prem under Burley were obviously in the god awful ITV version.
Actually quite shocking how long we've been away from the too flight.
I'm old enough to remember Match of the Week. Showed a regional game followed by highlights from elsewhere. Gerry Harrison was the anglia commentator. Hugh John's did Midlands, Gerald Sinstadt did Granada and Brian Moore did London. Can't remember anymore.

Yes, and our MOTW territory here in the east, went from Hull in the north to Luton in the south.

This truly had the lamest theme ever, with a super early key change that left it with nowhere to go.

We’ve missed out on Match of the Day in its present format where every game gets a highlights package which started in 2004/05. ITV’s Premiership programme started that trend a season or so earlier, probably in response to criticism when it started that it only ever seemed to show Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal in it’s main game slots every week.

This was brilliant. Was the main game on MOTD that night. Remember it really well. Leeds were champions at the time.

I haven’t seen the highlights for many years. I was at the game and did remember it.
For the post about Chris Kiwomya, have a look at the clip to see what kind of player he was. I hadn’t remembered Paul Goddard played in this game - areal class act.
John Wark - well, no words required. Dozzell - terrific player. Another unsung Ipswich player is Stockwell. He was a smashing player; a real professional who served this club well on over 500 occasions.
Interesting to see Lee Chapman moving. He never did that when played for us. Oh and a little nod to the late Gary Speed. A real tip top player who left us far too young. RIP.
