and their voters sticking the knife in to the Tory party for the mini Budget i don’t really stand left or right but the left can’t come up with an alternative way to tackle the recession and cost of living so as my mate once said if you got nothing useful to say shut the fcuk up and work on an alternative.

It's a fair point to a degree, but that doesn't defend measures that look like bankrupting the country, especially after the flak Labour took in 2010 for what was essentially a worldwide crisis. That deficit will like a picnic compared to what is being proposed here.

What is it about the Tories you like best? The racism, the homophobia, the open corruption, the blatant lack of interest in anyone who isn't their mates, the incompetence or the willingness to support criminality?

Is English your first language?

You don't appear to understand the implications of yesterday's budget at all.

Still, it would be difficult to dismiss your friend who sounds an intellectual giant.

To be fair, he comes across as the sort of person who struggles to understand automatic doors.

Normally they give the British voter another option but not on this.

What is it about 'quite likely to be more competent, less bigoted and criminally inclined' that's confusing you as a choice here?

In any case, the choice on your header policy is pretty clear - it's taxing the record profits of the the energy giants to fund support with cost of living vs rinsing the taxpayer to fund tax cuts which will mostly benefit the better off and the energy giants.

Literally didn't accuse of you of that. Just wondered why you you so keen on a government that had a track record of it, despite being 'neither right or left'.

hahaha true. But what sort of renewable energy, and how would over turning tax cuts help the public in this recession your typical Labour cause there is no basis in your renewable energy like what?
Self sufficient in about 15/20 years time going by what you say more work maybe but didn’t labour like to strike back in the day?
So i feel you too should take my mates advice.

Just in case you are not trolling, have you noticed where the tax cuts are directed? The richer you are the more you will gain from these policies. The poor will gain nothing. A Tory MP even stated this is deliberate policy.

The left has solutions. Nationalisation of utilities, more redistributive taxes on high incomes and extortionate profits, Green industrialisation, a much higher minimum wage, more secure employment, more housing, more food security, a benefit system designed around lifting people from poverty rather than trapping them into it etc.

But the left is marginalised and demonised in the current Labour Party much more than even in society at large.

The government and the opposition are both right wing and support the underlying yet flawed system. That’s why there are no real alternatives being offered or even discussed.

Whilst this is true, the current Labour Party policy is a long way left of what Truss is bringing. They might be right of centre, but to redistribute wealth towards the rich in the aim of so-called "trickle-down economics" is far more right wing and damaging to the most vulnerable in society.
