Until now I didn't realise quite how much he enjoys the sound of his own voice.

I seem to recall him irking Mick at Rotherham once with a very lengthy post-match press conference while Mick paced up and down outside waiting to come in to do his and then get out on the road home.

Great guy, and a great Manager. Some people talk a lot when they are nervous and/or when they are talking about something they love.

How does McKenna rate for 'duration' and what's the overall journo view on him? I always find his comments insightful rather than the meaningless waffle that comes from many of the older school managers.

Always seems very considered too, very much the sort of manager you could trust as a CEO. As you say he doesn't tend to peddle out the same old soundbites that previous managers have done week after week, he seems to be more specific about the game in question.

The more I heard from Lambert, the more convinced I became that he just wasn't very into the detail. Didn't seem to know anything about our opponents in the pre match pressers.

That's exactly how we see it, a refreshing change from one or two others over recent years. Is polite and respectful, even thanked us for travelling to away games after the last trip of last season, which was a first.

A really top manager who’s going to do very well at Derby.

When you look at what Huddersfield hired today Derby did really well to get Warne.

Huddersfield new guy will be gone by January. His interview today was a mess.
