Any other leader would be 34 points ahead on 22:51 - Sep 29 by BanksterDebtSlave
With a lead like that......no chance. Short term thinking will win out again.
It’s all total bull s**t isn’t it. Labour win a massive mandate so what? The Tories, with good spin and PR could win the election after that reversing what Labour implemented. Back-and-forth like a tennis match…and tennis is a s**t boring sport.

This latest poll is terrible news for Starmer.
Just a 21 point lead over the Tories.
That would give
Lab 46 Con 92 with 273 Tory MPs booted out
Whilst Survation has been the most accurate recently, and ties in with the Britain elect survey, it is only a snapshot of the last couple of days, much as with an MOT
however it will not be seen as a prediction of any future GE, but measure of the unpopularity of Fridays budget, and Truss as well - who is ultimately responsible.
Not the best of moods for the party to be heaing into their conference in. And one which will be all too aware of gow inept Truss has been when facing questions. A massive U-Turn in the summer over what she called handouts doesn't bode well.
As that did not smack of a listening politician, but one who got it badly wrong in the first place, as with Friday.
here she is sparkling form at a previous conference
the unkind might suggest that the former is contracted by the latter, but they are naughty folk who do not appreciate the depth of character in this woman

George Canning managed 118 days. I think she might beat that by some distance. Worth remembering though that if the tories collapse then Boris might loose his seat. If suffolk starts to turn something other than blue then it will be seismic.
Canning was to Addington as London was to Paddington.

But the Forde Report and broken pledges. Or something like that.
Classy.
Yeah, who cares about antisemitism, islamophobia, anti-BAME racism, misogyny and anti-democratic, dishonest politicians and staff when it’s the game that really matters ...
You say the quiet stuff out loud.

He’s obsessed with you.
Not sure about that. Or at least I don’t take it personally.
He is certainly extremely obsessed with “the Left” and maintaining the basic status quo. It’s a consistent position towards anyone who challenges that or pushes for change on pretty much any issue.

Another showing a massive Labour lead Lab 50 Con 20 https://peoplepolling.org/ (field work Thurs afternoon)
which suggests a very strong reaction to the attempt to introduce Brexit - though more importantly is the results of a week before (when the budget had not been announced nor the Lab conference) which gave Lab a 12 point - translated as Lab overall majority of 52
Lab 351 Con 204 as this ties in with the rest of recent polls, so even were Truss to row back on the Brexit stuff Lab would still win comfortably.
The Tories will need to take a long hard look at where they are. Do they try to pull the plug soon and limit the damage or stick with someone spouting crackpot Brexit stuff and risk longer term damage to the party ?
As what is being repeated, is this was not an enforced act. This is not Covid (something imposed on them). But a reckless act, that ignored all sane advice to the contrary.
And whatever is going through MPs minds this weekend, what is certainly concerning voters is what else might she come up with. What other lunatic ideas will she try to implement ? Benefit cuts, Budget cuts to services. Tax cuts to win over supporters (Inheritance tax).
I suspect the many conference stay away Tory MPs will spend an awful lot of time not only trying to pacify their constituents, but speaking to other MPs.
How to get rid of this half wit with the least amount of damage.
