Imo time for Ball and Keogh 20:53 - Sep 29 with 2315 views | FrimleyBlue | Two very experienced players who are a level above others in their positions. I appreciate we have a certain level of solidness and its not like our defence or midfield has been a worrying aspect of our side. But against the better sides we have recently shown there is something missing when it really matters. Ball and Keogh could be imo that difference we need currently.

Imo time for Ball and Keogh on 21:06 - Sep 29 with 2253 views | blueislander | I doubt they will start. McKenna won’t drop players after just one defeat. Evans didn’t have his best game on Sunday, but has been outstanding so far this season. Edmunson has made the odd mistake, but it would really dent his confidence to be dropped.
Imo time for Ball and Keogh on 22:26 - Sep 29 with 2126 views | Garv | I think it's unlikely one of them comes in, let alone both. The game for Ball would have been Wednesday or Plymouth, with a little hindsight. At home you'd like to think Evans will play an important role keeping possession and playing those diagonals to Davis, which we saw little to nothing of the last two games. I also hope we persist with Edmundson. He's making the odd mistake but it's generally because he's taking risks, which McKenna encourages him and the defence to do. Also had a nice role in Jackson's goal at Hillsborough. [Post edited 29 Sep 2022 22:31]

Imo time for Ball and Keogh on 22:29 - Sep 29 with 2111 views | ipswichtillidie | I agree with this. Definitely Ball deserves an opportunity to start. Nothing against any other individuals but other players have had plenty of game time. As good as Evans and Mors have been, Ball looks a class act and will play a lot of minutes this season. Keogh I predict will play Saturday regardless. [Post edited 29 Sep 2022 22:31]

Imo time for Ball and Keogh on 22:42 - Sep 29 with 2056 views | Kropotkin123 | Not sure how you could drop Morsy or Evans, who, along with Chaplin, have arguable been our best players this season. Ball has looked good in his games, but not sure good games against Youth teams and League 2 teams really counts. We should have bought him in as a sub in the last two games, but starting, no thanks, not yet. I'm on board with Keogh for Edmundson though. The backline needs more leadership than he is providing at the moment.

Imo time for Ball and Keogh on 23:28 - Sep 29 with 1996 views | HighgateBlue | In my view, the problem (if there is one) is not how we've been starting games. I don't see a case for messing up the Morsy-Evans axis (although they need to be a little bit less trigger happy with tackles that would be reds all day long in the premier league). However, I would have brought Ball on in each of the last two games. Maybe it would not have made a difference, and plainly McKenna is a better coach than the lot of us, but that's my view, especially after his performance in the Mickey Mouse Trophy, which was excellent.
Imo time for Ball and Keogh on 06:18 - Sep 30 with 1821 views | Blue_Heath | I agree re Keogh we definitely need his experience and Edmundson is off the pace at the moment. Tough one with Ball due to form of Evans/Morsey but personally I'd play Keogh tomorrow and Ball Tuesday. I really hope Ladapo can push on from Sunday where I thought he was excellent.
Imo time for Ball and Keogh on 07:24 - Sep 30 with 1732 views | Cuffy81 | I'd agree with Keogh, I'd back him to keep his head in what could be a lively game, my only concern would be whether Scarlets pace could leave him exposed I'd stick with Evans, i think we will dictate possession and they will look to hit on the break,Evans was really poor last week but his performances at Portman road have been good and he's important to how we use the ball at home. Most important thing is we keep our heads, our tackling needs to be much better than last week, Harness, Morsy and Evans could have all gone Hoping we stuck with Ladapo, his hold up play is vital to our number 10s affecting the game
Imo time for Ball and Keogh on 07:47 - Sep 30 with 1693 views | GlasgowBlue | I’d bring in Keogh fir Edmunson. But although I’ve wanted Ball in the team against Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth, I’d leave Evans in the team for Pompey. As Joe pointed out on Blue Monday, Portsmouth will likely sit back and let us have possession. That will suit Evans better than Ball.

Ball should have come on in both those games to shore things up, Wednesday ball not Keogh to mark bannan, would have one that game Plymouth ball on to help morsy Evans who had both been booked wouldn't have lost that game, Not McKenna's best tactics,
Imo time for Ball and Keogh on 10:35 - Sep 30 with 1465 views | StokieBlue | "a level above others in their positions" That's back to the days for the Makin hot takes. They are both clearly good players but to say they are a clear level above Evans and Morsy or Wolf and Edmundson is quite a leap. Certainly challenging for places but a level above is a stretch I think. SB
Imo time for Ball and Keogh on 10:42 - Sep 30 with 1432 views | clive_baker | Who do they come in for though? If you're looking for experience then adding Ball probably won't achieve that given he'll likely replace one of Morsy or Evans. As for Keogh there's 1 position he can play in our side and that's in the middle of the back 3. It's possible, not doubting that, but it would mean either dropping Woolf or moving him to the left of the 3 which I'm not convinced suits him at all.

We are going to need them both- that is all that needs to be said.
