How do you actually feel about this game on 16:45 - Oct 15 with 1958 views | Swansea_Blue | Can't fault the effort this half. I didn't see it all, but sounds like we shot ourselves in the foot first half, so annoying. We've also not made the best decisions with the final ball again. All the dark arts are coming out now, so this looks increasingly like game over.

How do you actually feel about this game on 16:59 - Oct 15 with 1711 views | Kropotkin123 | I missed the first 30mins. But since then we have stretched them, created loads of opportunities, and we've been poor in front of goal. Easily enough good chances to have won this game. I don't see another team copying this and being successful. It does sound like the first 30mins was flat. The tempo wasn't good against Morecambe either. More the area I'm concerned about. Think Chaplin needs resting too.

my concern is if KM comes out with after " they set up differently than we expected etc" We can't keep giving team 30 minutes before we figure out how to play against them.

How do you actually feel about this game on 17:13 - Oct 15 with 1514 views | clive_baker | One of those days. You can’t be too reactionary to single results, we will lose games this season but we can take heart from the performance. 75% possession, 32 shots, 14 corners. We battered them and more often than not we win that, but it wasn’t to be today. I do think we can show more quality in the final 3rd at times, for all the effort I can’t really recall their keeper making a top save, and that’s an area we need to improve. The goal we conceded was poor too. All things considered we were very unlucky not to get something from the game though. Move on and put it right against Derby.

How do you actually feel about this game on 17:16 - Oct 15 with 1452 views | Chrisd | I'm disappointed. For all those stats, we've hit the target 5 times, that's a really poor return. I still don't think we work the opposition keepers enough in games, he's not had to have a 'worldie' to keep us out today.

Their defence has though with 15 blocks. Jackson was immense for them.

defended like a non league side in a cup game., every part of their body on the line, nothing left behind. They'll sleep very well tonight.

The reason their keeper didn’t have a save to make was because our shots were closed down by the 10 men behind the ball in the area, on another day one of those deflects into the net, credit to Lincoln they got their goal and then executed their plan to the letter

In part true, but we missed the target on countless occasions where we really need to test a keeper. 2 or 3 we skied over the bar from promising positions.

How do you actually feel about this game on 18:03 - Oct 15 with 1176 views | WeirdFishes | First half was far too slow, second half better tempo but for all the shots we had, I wouldn’t say we had a clear cut chance. Burns, Chaplin, Ladapo and Harness I felt were very disappointing today. If Edwards and Jackson came in at HT I think we get at least a draw. Hopefully this is a kick up the arse rather than the start of a poor spell.

How do you actually feel about this game on 18:06 - Oct 15 with 1152 views | ArnieM | I’ll be honest, I’ve been expecting it. Of course we’ll not win every game. But what really annoys me is Lincoln haven’t created that goal for themselves: we gave it to them. And that’s what annoys me about us. We also need to mix up approach a lot more . It’s like watch a game of chess at times. Very methodical, very measured, slow .. ponderous even . Inject some pace at times , go direct , ( not necessarily long hall , but run at them centrally) , or get right to the byline and pull the ball back . McKenna is a breath of fresh air , but he needs to learn and I’m absolutely sure he will , be hard he’s a class act.

When you see really good goalscorer, they all have one thing in common. They hit the target. It doesn’t matter if they scuff it, shin it bounce it off their backsides, hammered it or headed it along the ground, it has to be cleared or saved. Think Brazil, Bent, Murphy in his purple patch, Lineker, Greaves, Shearer, John Wark, David Johnson 2 you name them: all had that quality. Players who are not natural goalscorers don’t hit the target anywhere near as much, regardless of whatever else they might add.

Agreed. But instead we have Jackson, who I can’t for the life of me understand how he still plays for us after 4 years of watching him fail. Ladapo, who can’t be bothered unless it lands at his feet looking at goal - even then to call him a decent striker is an insult to the above. His ability to shoot anywhere other than into the keepers arms is like none I’ve ever witnessed before. John-Jules is completely unpredictable as to how he’ll perform - given he’s so junior and isn’t a 20 goal a season striker. So 3 pretty poor options in my book. Little surprise as CF’s that we’ll have games like this.
