I think it's a question of calmness on the ball in the box that needs to be worked on based on today. Yep, lack of a goal scorer might cost us this season. It’s great that we had lots of possession and attempts on goal, but the ‘for’ column says zero, nil - unlike most of the others around us.
I had hoped we’d be the team to pull away, but it looks like that’ll be Plymouth and possibly Sheffield Wednesday.
Sadly these are the games you have to win. The bread and butter games. The last thing you do is lose them if you want to get out of this division. Very disappointing, but they gave their best and there it is. |  | | |

I thought Harness was everything good about us today. Constantly driving at them, breaking through tackles, drawing free kicks. Just fluffed his finishing chances (which is pretty big, granted). Up until the finishing he was the best of a poorish front line for us. Until the subs and him moving across further right, then he was a lot more quiet. | |

Our rivals are winning games with ease. We struggled against the bottom side last week, lost this week while our rivals won at a canter. It’s too soon to ask if we’ve been found out, but too many teams have hung in there and taken points off us or come close to doing so this season.
Maybe a decent addition up front in Jan will give us that little extra we need. Maybe the crushing disappointment of a bad defeat in front of a big crowd will push the players on a bit. Maybe I’m over reacting (probably). It just feels like a very important game to lose today. | | | |

We need 1 or 2 for the Championship, the football we play is great but the difference in that league is having a quality goalscoring striker or two
MM's side had that in McGoldrick and Murphy, Sears to some extent too and he then had that with Waghorn and Garner
I'm not sure we have that currently, we may get away with it in League One but we won't in the Championship [Post edited 15 Oct 2022 17:56]
