I'm totally fed up today - bored at work and generally feeling miserable - so let's hear your favourite games so far. Could be atmosphere, could be scoreline, importance, or something irrational.
Mine would be Portsmouth at home, I think. Just developed a real dislike for Portsmouth and Cowley over the last couple of seasons, so to beat them in the manner which we did was very pleasing.

Bristol Rovers game was decent, bar a 5-10 minute spell, it's the first time in a long time where I can remember us having that much control in the game.
Portsmouth game, as you say, definitely up there. The first time (IIRC - my memory is shot to bits), where McKenna let out a bit of emotion at full time (don't get me wrong, I love that he's level headed, come win, lose or draw), and his comments thereafter about Cowley. |  |

Yeah, Portsmouth - great win, great character to come back twice from them drawing level, good to get a win over a 'top' team (though they're well off the standard of Plymouth, Wednesday, even Bolton IMO) and, as Kieran_Knows says, really good to hear McKenna really stick up for the club after the match. Good also to get a win over the wettest fan base in the division, always adds a level of satisfaction when it's against a bunch of total drips.
MK Dons was enjoyable as well as it was a really tough day to play and we dominated it. Turns out they're stinkers this year rather than promotion rivals but still an impressive display that was an early 'we're the business' sign for me. |  |

It's hard to say but there was a point during the Vale game just after we went 2 up that I was thinking "you know what we are a really good side" and it was just a perfect moment.
I soon got knocked back down to earth with a bump but we are so close to being a really good team. Just everything is soooo good about the club at the mo and I can't wait to see how KMc can develop this team even more. |  | | |

Portsmouth, big game feel about it and beating a very confident Pompey was just so satisfying after the poundland mindgames from Cowley.
Derby the other night was a good one to be fair, although didn't think we played particularly well overall, atmosphere in NSU was decent enough and love a game under the lights.
ETA our attendance in the league at home this season appears to be 25,976 based on TWTD figures!

In terms of my favourite game so far, I think it would have to be Pompey too. It was very satisfying to beat a team that had equalised twice plus being originally from Southampton, I’ve always disliked Pompey. Second would be Morecambe as I really thought we would lose there and to come back from 1-0 down to win 1-2 is always a nice feeling. |  |

Port Vale because:
1. It was a long way to go mid week and a hard fought game
2. It’s the kind of game where you’d be happy with a point and in previous seasons we might well have got zippo
3. Two key midfielders were missing including the team’s most important player. Other players too. This will depress our rivals I suspect.
4. A young man came into the team, played well, scored a goal and made another. CH is going to be a valuable addition this season.
5. It was the sixth league game of the month and we made it five wins in six.
6. Even if not at our best, players missing, we appear to be getting stronger.
7. It felt a bit of a benchmark game. It’s fine digging out wins against Portsmouth and Derby, but these are the bread and butter games that make the difference.
8. We have a quieter November coming up - we are well in the mix regardless of Saturday after what looked like being a very difficult October. [Post edited 27 Oct 2022 23:18]
