IF we do win tomorrow, we will go top - at least for 48 hours.

I think tomorrow will be a good test of where we are especially with the injuries.
Supercomputer predicts... on 11:17 - Oct 28 with 2775 views | clive_baker | Interesting changing it at the bottom to see the same table for 26th October in the 19/20 season. Very similar prospects for us then. Not suggesting we face the same fate this time around.

Quite, and a budget larger than the average weekly Tesco food shop.

And not just that but a win, and turning this into the sort of run Plymouth have had, could make the rest of the season much easier. We've seen the effect a defeat can have on a team like Derby when they feel like their aspirations for the season are evaporating. Putting real distance between ourselves and a host of hopefuls over the next few games could break a number of teams as realistic auto challengers. Certainly would shift confidence and momentum even more in our favour for the second half of the season. [Post edited 28 Oct 2022 12:07]

Obviously need to win tomorrow to keep up the momentum, however those teams with games in hand are well behind us on points anyway Bolton 9 points behind 1 game in hand Portsmouth -10 2 games in hand Barnsley, Lincoln & Derby 15 points behind with 1 or 2 games in hand. Pressure is on these to win their games in hand. I would prefer to have the points than games in hand.

Thankyou - just what I was thinking. Absolutely not taking ANYTHING for granted, but we’re in a lovely position at this point of the season. I’m amazed that Plymouth have maintained their run - surely they can’t keep it going! I have a sneaky suspicion that we do actually have enough in this squad to keep up our current standard, given that we’ve not faltered despite having so many injuries. Those players come back after Christmas and we are in a seriously strong position. Not counting my chickens, but I think have grounds for being optimistic. Plus I also think that if we need a striker the owners will do all they can to give KM to name his man and for Ashton to go get him if at all possible.

I was reading the Sheff Wed forum the other day and they were having a full in meltdown, with many calling for a change of manager. Would be great to keep the pressure on before this November mini league break

That rates our chances of succeeding via the play-offs about right! (Assuming there is very little chance of us finishing 7th or below now.) How accurate was this site's prediction from this time last year, I wonder?

Supercomputer predicts... on 20:13 - Oct 28 with 1773 views | SlippinJimmyJuan | In other East Anglian news, I see that they have Norwich as distant third. Dean Smith seems to have lost a lot of backing from the fans going off this tweet and the reception it has received: Fail to win tomorrow and he probably gets the sack. Hopefully they can scrape a 1-0 and let the pain linger on a while longer. Steve Bruce next up please

Not sure I can bring myself to wanting to see nodge win. Maybe just hope they appoint badly again after sacking Smith.
