Given his trials and tribulations with the fanbase, the second verse of Ben seems lyrically apt if nothing else...
Kayden, you're always running here and there You feel you're not wanted anywhere If you ever look behind And don't like what you find There's something you should know You've got a place to go
I think Johnny Cash made a few mistakes with his lyrics:
We got married in a fever Hotter than a pepper sprout We've been talkin' 'bout Jackson Ever since the fire went out
I'm going to Jackson I'm gonna mess around Yeah, I'm goin' to Jackson Look out Jackson town
--------------------
What he meant, of course, was:
Someone just flashed straight past you, He was there but now he's gone, That was Mister Kayden Jackson, And he can do that all day long.
Whoah Kayden Jackson, He's gonna close you down, Whoah Kayden Jackson, Of Ipswich Town.

We tried a version of this ourselves:
We signed Jackson in a fever Faster than a lightning bolt He sends the North Stand into raptures Every time he scores a goal We're singin' for Jackson, When he scores a goaaaal
But couldn't get lift off. Hard enough to get even the most basic chants going at the moment, so will need to revisit it at a later point...

Off topic and might be old news for some, but found out the other day that Cash submitted (without being asked to) a song for a Bond film, and was rejected.
Kayden Jackson saved my life by Ryorry16 Dec 2022 19:48 Was just thinking/looking for songs containing the name Jackson & a suitable choon, best I found was 'Jackson Express' which has a chorus & maybe a few other lines like
"Seemed like any other day,
Then my whole world changed
In a way I never could have guessed"
which could probably be worked up by someone cleverer than me into something decent. I thought maybe to the tune of 'Lord of the Dance' 🤔
