Oxford brought 550. Even allowing for empty lower Cobbold and away section still doesn’t add up if the official capacity is 29600

Yes the lower Cobbold in front of the away fans was empty & also a large chunk of the upper Cobbold. There were also a few blocks of empty seats in Churchmans.

Those seats block the view from the disabled area so have been decomissioned.

So the “sell out” crowd is 28,072 on 18:03 - Dec 26 with 3951 views | Churchman | Regardless, it’s one heck of a good attendance for a L1 game. Spacing, restricted view, away supporter numbers - all sorts of reasons for unused seats. Our support has been brilliant. Well done all - I can’t wait to attend in person again.

I suspect those were mainly season ticket holders who couldn’t make it today but would still be counted in the attendance figure.

So it’s probably true that, certainly in L1 with many small away followings, our capacity is somewhat changeable. Either way, great support this season.

So fake news on your preview that the Boxing Day record would be broken.
So the “sell out” crowd is 28,072 on 19:44 - Dec 26 with 3328 views | bluelagos | There were a lot of empty seats today - you could see plenty in the upper churchmans for starters. I was in the middle of the West stand, and there was a line of 10 empty seats near me. Not having a dig at anyone - appreciate transport issues on Boxing Day &/or trips to see family would explain 99% of empty seats. But it does raise the question of whether the club should facilitate a resale facility if/when sell outs become the norm? Clubs in the Prem do this for ST holders and ensure tickets are resold at face value and kept out of touts hands. Probably too soon, but the way we are going sell outs might become the norm (fingers crossed) over the next couple of years.

We have 3 STs and couldn't make today but there should hopefully have been bums on the seats as we got them printed and passed them to one of the online fan groups.

Tickets sold so if season ticket holders don't come along they're still counted.

When they read out the figure at the game do they not say "Today's match attendance"? If you bought a ticket, or have a ST, and were not there you didn't attend.
