Astro Wars comes to mind, as does Big Trak. I think I was envious of my friends who had those. I had a train set which I think I could get into again if I had the time. But there was a table top arcade machine at the youth club I'd happily give house room to!

Absolute genius Stoches. Has a young un dog sh1te and fireworks were 2 of my favourite ways of amusing myself. Can't believe we never thought to mix the 2
A dog turd of the right consistency could make a very fine mess indeed with a decent banger
We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub.

Ah thinking back, so many bring back memories.

I was thinking of Big Trak earlier. I had the Big Trak and trailer. Remember the ad where it showed it delivering an apple to the kid's dad in his armchair?
I did the same thing. Took me ages to program the thing to go round the living room and deliver an apple to dad!

My dad nailed my subbuteo pitch to a wooden board which avoided the crease problem and meant it could be plonked straight onto any surface to play, it worked a great
Used to also have the scoreboard which came with little cardboard strips to put in for every team down to Conference level (plus a load of European ones), and the FA Cup trophy. I have fond memories of me and a mate drawing out imaginary FA Cups, rolling dice for the score and then acting out the imagined goals with the subbuteo players, which sounds the saddest thing ever now but for this c8 year old in the 90’s seemed like the most fun ever

My Dad promised to stick my subbuteo pitch to a wooden board.

I remember going round with rockets and a milk bottle using it as a mobile rocket launcher to launch at other kids. Packed that in when a rocket whizzed inches past the head of a girl I liked. Wasn't even aiming at her but the rockets were a bit unpredictable. Blew any chance I may have had with her in that moment anyway!
Fishing rod holders were better, basically a drain pipe with an end blocked off.
They were great as missile launchers, very dangerous as you couldn’t see what was happening.

I did! Brilliant game. You can play against somebody else or actually you can have fun on your own.
I’d use real teams (e.g.Eng v Aus) or much more fun, make up my own scorecards. An example might be dictators Vs painters so you could have a line that read:
A Hitler, Bowled J Constable, runs: 28. In bat V T Impaler and Saladin.

Brilliant!!
I hope Vlad was Stumped
I should have made him Wicketkeeper.
You could have Wacky Races v Politicians. Edward Heath batting against Red Max and the Crimson Haybaler with Muttley keeping wicket. Great game. I am going to have to buy that little blue tin of joy off eBay - mine long since disappeared.
