2.62 chances crated per game.

68 chances created this season in 26 matches. Only 3 behind League 1 leader Barry Bannan and 23 clear of third placed Conor Hourihane.

Really shows how poor our finishing has been that he only has 7 assists.

He is miles too good for this league and we will need to be promoted if we want to keep him for next season.

it's a good job we are getting promoted then, innit?

I think most of those assists are from set pieces as well, so not many at all from the many excellent chances he's created in open play. He's quality, he will play in the Prem for sure. Looks every inch a player capable of getting to that level, physically and technically.

Disagree with your last point. He signed what is effectively a 4 year deal on decent money and can't see a club offering the sort of money we'd consider him to be potentially worth to us.

Big call. Cresswell did it in the Championship. Hopefully Davis will get that chance next season if we can get there.

He is outstanding and I expect if we go up and he has a good season in the Champ we'd be getting comfortably in excess of £10m for him.

Has to develop his game to somehow deal with those balls at the far post. This at the moment is by far his biggest weakness. He's not the tallest. So he's gotta find other ways of winning those balls or at least putting players off when they head the ball.

At least you've dropped the point about him not being able to cross.

I don't think at a higher level he's going to have to deal with taller players attacking him in the air at the far post as much as he does in this league. He could improve putting them off though as you say.

Agree with that.

I think he'll be our club record sale at some point - fits the modern game perfectly.

He's around 5'10", 5'11" which is more than adequate for a full back. The times he's been caught out have mainly been from set pieces and it really should have been one of our CBs marking the man Davis has been left with at the back post.

That is not what you said as you well know. However you post so often that I can't actually find the post to prove that.

You're rewriting your post history on a daily basis now and posting in such volume that it's impossible to correct you because the reference post is lost in sea of all your other posts.

One clear example of where Frimmers is correct here (shudder) is the second Pompey goal we conceded at their place. Horrible big looping cross from their left, no jump whatsoever from Leif and he is beaten by their man who nods it back across for a tap in.

So, there is that 'weakness', but on the whole, a cracking player for us so far.

You purposly ignore certain aspects of posts though SB

"For where he can go on football he's at a good level so far of course. He can go along way. And there's some opportunities he's not quite made the most of at times but that will come with age and further experience.

I'm happy to say he's OK for now and see how he gets on when we go up a level.

He's currently based on that site at 38% crossing completion. Again its up to the reader of the stats if they use it or not. But it doesn't say if that includes corners.. which of course changes things slightly. It doesn't mention it but of course shows his assist figures which we know some have been via corners.

As I say tho. I like davis. Lots to develop and he's doing well."

The above was one.
I haven't said Davis is rubbish at crossing, not at all, BUT i'm unsure if they are as accurate as they can be, alot depends on runners, alot depends on his delivery, it's a mixture. Sometimes it'll be a bit of both.

So again, he's one of our better players on the ball, sometimes I feel he could do more in certain positions with the ball, but you can say that about a lot of players depending on their performances in the games you're discussing.

But again, you don't like any negative aspects of players being discussed or anyone not liking an aspect of a player that you don't believe yourself.

Also happened against Morcambe, the one chance they had which Edmundson blocked early on, it was a lost header at the far post by Davis which lead to the chance.

Are we saying he hasn't got a great leap on him then? i'd have thought he was a rather small fullback based on how he gets easily out jumped at times, but if that's quite a normal height then maybe it is just something that will come with time and gym time?

Where have you said "some of his crosses are excellent" in that post? It actually cites a low cross % whilst ignoring that cross % is in the top 90's percentile in the division and implies it as a negative.

As for your last paragraph, I don't like you rewriting history to make it look like you know what you're on about when in reality you employ a scattergun approach where you post all possible scenarios, ignore the ones that are wrong and point to the ones which bear out and proclaim yourself the oracle.

Oh SB. You're the biggest rewriter of history in the history of rewriting.

I'm not going to copy and past every sentence. But that quote was from the thread. There are plenty others Have a look at your spreadsheet it'll be on there. I'm sure you would it it suited your agenda.

Again your last sentence if you can show examples of that great. But I'm not like you. I'm not desperate to be right about everything. I'll be wrong. Time and time again. I'll be right sometimes. Then wrong more. That's life.

But your self proclaimed board policeman role is tiresome and your desperation for up arrows is close to that of a previous board member no longer allowed on here.

Anyways I'll leave it to you to no doubt reply with another marvelous reply. It'll probably include how IM the one ruining the forum.

Reminder. I replied to a poster on this thread to discuss his comparison to creswell
