I feel sometimes I’m watching different games and am connected to a differentâ 17:28 - Feb 11 with 11452 viewsunstableblue

…. Club and project!

First off that was one of the most exciting games of football and atmosphere than I can remember

Second having gone with Sheff Weds fans they were adamant that first half was the best they’ve played for seasons, and second half they were completely blown away by us

They were physically ballistic in the first half and to come back from 2-0 down with them so dominant at that point is remarkable

Look some players like Davis, Wolf, Humphreys and Clarke struggled in that first half - but these are young prospects are only going to get better and better… and I’m frickin excited to watch that

That second half blitz from Town was wonderful… AND we also could have easily buckled under a series of set plays

Yes of course we wanted a win… but this season is not over… and I’m excited to watch this team progress and watch our manager strengthen his experience

Sorry for any distress it's caused.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

3 chances in a blitz of a second half… and we drew in a must win game.

Pop that champagne right now

I don’t think anyone is happy with the last couple of months, but what are the alternatives ? There’s nothing we can change, unless you want KmC out, which seems madness at present to me.

That leaves being fairly positive and getting behind the team, we are still in a position to get out of this league after all.

The only Muff in Town.

I know we’ve always been considered a “nice” club and I’ve been away over a decade at this point but has it got way worse? It’s funny those that think they are sticking by the club through thick and thin makes them the real fans. Surely those of us get frustrated shows we still have passion and want this sh1t show of underachieving turned around.

These lot would be clapping a lap of honor with with an 8th place finish. Need a winning mentality. This acceptance of and the “I’ll take that” I’m so relived we didn’t lose is kind of pathetic!

Man up?

Nothing I do can remotely affect how our players preform when in the shirt. Maybe you should relay the same man up message to the players that have managed to Chuck away wins/draws over the last 3 months, getting an entire 4 wins in 13 games…

This doesn’t just change over night. Top 2 is gone, anyone thinking it isn’t it a fcking deluded fool.

Pathetic comment if I’m honest.

Great post. I can't believe the 'McKenna out' nonsense posted here. The The 1970s version of today's numpties wanted Bobby Robson sacked in his early days. The board responded by apologising to Bobby for the fans' behaviour. And look how that turned out. Far from being out of his depth, McKenna did turn it round in the 2nd half v SW and we came back from two down. We have also just seen two amazing performances against Burnley. There's an old gag that every village has an idiot and Suffolk has an awful lot of villages. But why are some many of them on here?

The thing wrong with our fan base is those that turn up expect victory then boo at the moment of adversity then leave their seats and miss the big goals.

I’m not asking for him to be gone at all but I’m concerned about our fragility and current league form. Is that allowed?

We are throwing millions in the third division and managing to work our way out of an automatic promotion race. Sorry that I’m not jumping for joy with our home point.

If you don't enjoy football, there's little point in going...

To respond to your other point; Bournemouth and Brentford play in the Premier League. A few years back, you'd have said the same about being in their division.
This is a tough league to get out of - nobody has a divine right. Not least of all a club in the process of being restructured with a rookie manager finding his way.

Take a look at the very long list of teams who have been in L1 since 2004, it's no easy ride for anybody:

Taking the game in isolation, it was a superb advert for League 1 and in the second half, a superb example of what KM has achieved in a relatively short time here.

We’re an attractive but horribly flaky and unpredictable team. After 15 or so years of hideous mediocrity it really depends on what you want.

Some appear to enjoy the moment, others are looking at the bigger picture.

We are going to spectacularly blow-up this season. It’s what we do and it will happen in the play-offs. It will involve at least x3 of the following…

A sucker punch involving some classic Gareth Ainsworth or Paul Warne sh*thousery.

Conceding x2 goals after the 90th minute.

Missing a penalty, an open goal and x2 glaringly straightforward one-on-ones.

Referee denying us x2 nailed on penalties then wrongly dismissing Evans, Walton and/or Morsy against that Bolton lot.

Blowing a 3 goal aggregate lead with a 101st minute worldy from an opposing centre-half who hasn’t scored for 8 years.

All the above could be easily avoided if we hadn’t contrived to find ever more frustrating and pathetic ways to avoid 3 points on at least x7 occasions so far this season.

We won’t go on a 10 game unbeaten league run between now and May. We’ll be brilliant on 5 or 6 occasions and hugely inept in at least 4 more games.

Wycombe, Derby, Bolton, Barnsley or even Cotterill’s monstrous Shrewsbury outfit have a nightmare of bewildering proportions awaiting us…

Or we might piss it with 16 straight wins and 100 goals.

....realism about our deficiencies, at best they are merely glossed over.

People who exaggerate any positives to the Nth degree leading to a totally false impression of our abilities and position.

People who accept mediocrity.

People who appear to be scared of adopting a winning mentality.

People who, indirectly maybe, add to the pathetic soft underbelly of our club.

People who applaud the team to relegation.

....."Happy Clappers"

Go on then big man. What does your non acceptance of us being 3rd in the league achieve? Have you got a bed sheet ready? Are you organising a protest? Or do you just simply tut and boo?

Or do you just take to the keyboard after a pulsating draw with the best team in the league and moan?

What does that make you and what the hell difference is it going to do?

....banging on about to be honest.

My post is a comment on the fact that we have a number of deficiencies but they are not even acknowledged by a section of our fans, a section that will seek to overplay the positives rather than offer a realistic view.

Not sure what bedsheet or protests have got to do with it.

All the best,
