I feel sometimes I’m watching different games and am connected to a differentâ 17:28 - Feb 11 with 11448 views | unstableblue | …. Club and project! First off that was one of the most exciting games of football and atmosphere than I can remember Second having gone with Sheff Weds fans they were adamant that first half was the best they’ve played for seasons, and second half they were completely blown away by us They were physically ballistic in the first half and to come back from 2-0 down with them so dominant at that point is remarkable Look some players like Davis, Wolf, Humphreys and Clarke struggled in that first half - but these are young prospects are only going to get better and better… and I’m frickin excited to watch that That second half blitz from Town was wonderful… AND we also could have easily buckled under a series of set plays Yes of course we wanted a win… but this season is not over… and I’m excited to watch this team progress and watch our manager strengthen his experience COYFB

People who refuse to offer any.... on 10:57 - Feb 12 by FrimleyBlue | Churchman, there was one only last week where he's seen as the best manager town have had since Sir Bobby... , there's also plenty who are incredibly happy with him, it's all over the forum. And again, you're trying to compare a time under the previous regime, with no recruitment team, etc, so it's not surprising things like transfers were all over the shop. The point being however, is lambert just like PC had a plan on matchdays on how they wanted to the play the game, it failed in the end, but it was their own individual plans, it's not on us fans to decide that they as individuals didn't have one just because it failed. That's like saying KM doesn't actually have a plan because we've struggled to win, he has a plan, just like all others. |
‘There was one only last week where he's seen as the best manager town have had since Sir Bobby’ Please provide the link. I don’t recall seeing that. ‘Incredibly happy with him’. Where does anyone say that? I give up. Time from me to take a break

We took a real risk with Mckenna by onceablue 22 Jan 2023 19:19Real nice guy but he was bought here to get us
Accept he has bought back the feel good factor and the crowds
No proven experience and I think it is starting to show
Should have gone for Paul Warne look what he is doing at Derby
We have made some misguided managerial choices since McCarthty
"McKenna is literally lightyears ahead of any manager we’ve had here at Town since the days of Sir Bobby Robson. As far as I’m concerned, the matter is closed." ok i was wrong, it was 2 weeks ago...

People who refuse to offer any.... on 10:19 - Feb 12 by PrideOfTheEast | I didn’t reference the Charlton game. Clearly our run since then has been nothing like promotion form. My wider point is that KM has shown in his 14 months as manager significantly more promise than either lambert or cook in terms of putting a team together that is capable of doing something. He’s had a big budget so that’s to be expected and he now must deliver. |
Yes I 100% agree with this. I still have high hopes that KM is our man. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders, is intelligent and certainly has more about him than those that came before. I’d be highly disappointed if we don’t get promoted but would give him another full season. Although my only caveat is if we fell out of the playoff places altogether, at that point everything might need to be up for discussion. I’d still lean with another year though, three mangers under one new ownership group wouldn’t look very stable. This was the year we needed to get promoted automatically IMO from the position that we were in. If we don’t go up via this or another route it will be a big blip on how we thought the season was shaping up. I think he has huge potential to be a top coach, the thing with potential is at some point you have to deliver on it, especially when being backed like a top half of the championship side. Donacien, for one.

Tell me your plan about how to get more from the players by the way that supporters should be conducting themselves. Over to you. |
I too would like to hear their answer to this question, Texters, Frimley..

why you asking me? I've not discussed the fans in this thread, not sure why those are talking about.

People who refuse to offer any.... on 10:22 - Feb 12 by Churchman | I will be. You clearly won’t be. I personally think either employ somebody have faith in them and support them or you don’t. Nobody can be happy that the team has fallen away as it has. It should have pushed on. But we haven’t. The trick is to understand why and improve. Changing managers every 18 months may give the play station brigade red faced excitement like that tool Jim White on transfer deadline night, but the only thing it guarantees is turmoil. I know most people demand instant success in todays world, but it doesn’t always work that way, especially in sport. ‘We need an experienced manager’, ‘we need fresh ideas’, ‘we need a defensive coach’, ‘we need a new bedsheet’ etc etc etc. When people on here say ‘I’m not saying we need a new manager but’ that’s exactly the same as saying ‘I don’t mean to be rude’. Yes they do and yes, there are some on here who’d like to see KM gone tomorrow. Fine, but I personally think that patience, support, time continuous improvement (a real bullsh1t bingo term) is sometimes better than hurling the toys about. That is not the same as accepting mediocrity which we did under Evans. Not acceptable. This club has progressed immeasurably in the last two years and we should have expectations and demand better. There are no excuses now. The least I hope is that there is a proper analysis of what went wrong this season assuming we fail and something is done about it. As the EADT says, something isn’t right. But screaming for old man Warnock and kicking out a new manager after 15 months doesn’t look the right solution to me. |
Fantastic post. Wish I could give you more uppies. To compensate for the losers (you know who you are) that will downvote you.

You will still accept the mediocrity if we fail to go up. There will be no excuses if we stay in this league beyond this season. It's an expensively assembled squad, the manager has been with us for 14 months and had 3 transfer windows. |
Well feck off and support a different team then. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

People who refuse to offer any.... on 10:48 - Feb 12 by FrimleyBlue | TBH, you can't even compare the time of lambert with what we have now as he didn't have the resources, the squad or even the club that we do now. PC had a hand in bringing in all these players fans absolutely love now. But he was just rubbish at the managing aspect. which is slightly an important part :) We don't know how KM's season is going to finish yet, but at present, he's done what lambert did in taking the team top and letting it slip.. Hopefully he can still get something out of this season. |

There's been much much more negativity this week and this weekend, than i've put on here, so no, not sure why I was being asked about a plan, a plan to what? how id want the lineup? how to win more games? how to get fans onside? i dont know what the question is.

The question is aimed at those saying fans are wet wipes, accepting of mediocrity, making excuses for poor results, saying things like the Milan game was a belter, why are we getting excited about a 2-2 in league 1. I would like to hear what the suggestions are as to what we as fans could do to change things. As for me , putting a positive spin and backing the team are the only options available right now, despite being p1ssed with the last 2-3 months.

oh, so inclusion is just because of the milan thing. Right well that was just me saying how times have changed for us town fans when we've gone from something like that to finding a draw in league 1 as pulsating, it's sad, whilst it may be true for some. In regards to the fan question, there isn't anything you can do. Morsy asked for support etc, he and the team have had it week in week out home and away and they still put on an absolute sht show of a first half, the fans don't need to do anything. On social media, it's the best place for people to vent their frustrations, not at PR in person, as it can have that negative effect, but on a forum it's normal, and no different to being a pub with friends after games and it's the best place for all to share their thoughts, positive or negative.
