My work summer party is on Saturday 27th May... its always a really good event, free transport, food, booze, accommodation, and a good chance to catch up with friends. I signed up for it, not really thinking about play-offs, but just realised that the Sunday 28th is play-off final day.
The catch here, is that the party is in Warsaw. I've been booked onto a flight home at 3pm UK time on the Sunday, so I would be in the air during the final.
I've checked, and there are earlier flights back to London on the Sunday, so it looks like, if we end up in the final, I'm going to have to go straight from the party to the airport, fly to Heathrow, head for Wembley, and somehow keep my energy levels up for the match.
What I need from the board, are strategy tips.... should I moderate intake at the party? Stop early to get some sleep, or just power through, nap on the plane, and then rely on adrenaline? Anyone else have a story to tell about epic journeys to watch Town? |  |

I would say enjoy the party, get the red eye flight back to London, get a breakfast and black coffee into you, then get back on the beers around Baker Street and watch us smash Derby 5-0 to secure promotion.
The Monday is a bank holiday anyway, maybe take the Tuesday off for additional recovery time. |  |

Have they actually confirmed the PO Final date yet? I know in previous years the change the order around in which division plays on what day..... |
No sign of a confirmation yet.
They usually start with one of League Two or the Championship (dependant on internationals). League One is in the middle so should be the Sunday. [Post edited 6 Mar 2023 15:02]

Hungover. At the ferry port the locals warned us of the price of beer in Sweden so made use of the duty free offerings.
Got off the ferry worse for wear, half a case of lager under my arm to be met by a couple of plod who asked if we were going to the match, before giving us a map with the various pubs marked on it.
Welcoming policing in rather stark contrast to the only other time I'd been to Sweden (for an England match) were the law enforecment were full on "mad max" clobbered up with barking rotweillers chomping at the bit for some fresh limbs. | |
