You guys realise you only get 3 points for a win whether you win 1-0 or 6-0 don’t you?

Let’s just wait and see what happens with your trips to Barnsley and Peterborough.

All runs come to end and all teams have a rocky patch. Stay humble.

You claim to be the best ever League 1 team to grace a football pitch yet with 5 games left top spot is not in your control🤷‍♂️

The football Gods are very good and predictable at knocking teams off their perches. (Just ask Wednesday)

Do one.

Hope you get a pressure game (like your Wembley outing) on final day and fk it up massively.

Don't understand the love for Plymouth from some of our fans. You're a cocky bunch of what nots having had a quick look at Pasoti. Give me Barnsley any day, they're a club with far more class.

Wouldn’t the best team in the league be top though?

You may be equal on transfer fees in and out but your wage bill is probably triple ours….as is Wednesdays.

Derby, Barnsley, Bolton also consider themselves too big for this league…as do Portsmouth but I just feel sorry for them now.

You are home and dry. Break out the sparkly stuff, pack the suitcase for Aya Napa. Job done, easy fixtures for you, trophy in the little case. You know it, so does everyone else. You’ve been the best all season. Deserved.

Quite why you are going on about transfer fees and wages, I’ve no idea. Why should you care? Players amble out with two legs by and large, are fit and ready to go. Your manager has been exceptional, especially with his use of loanees.

I also don’t know why you should feel sorry for any other club but hey ho. Oh, I get it - you are being ironic and patronising. Brilliant well done.

They are aren't they! They should be chuffed with where they are and of course can argue they're #1 and the league is theirs for the taking. I'm chuffed to be only a point behind them from where we were. Not that they should do it gleefully on here obviously..

But instead the chippiness is off the scale.

Honestly in the aftermath of their home game against us through to January I had Plymouth as joint favourites to win the league. But then Whitaker left and we began performing like Potter's Brighton in their 'can't buy a goal' phase of yesteryear. Wednesday dropping to bottom 6 form over 8 matches has shocked me and it's taken that level of collapse for a point behind Plymouth to again feel like a blessed place to be

I actually fear Fleetwood more than those two, we are better suited when sides try and come at us and play toe to toe

Given the way this season is shaping up, that last minute equaliser from Mumba could be very pivatol on the shakedown

Given our record in the playoffs over the years, 8 playoffs and only 1 success, I would take 2nd right now but the title would be sweet!

It's a crime that at least 1 from this top 4 will be in League One next season

You see it’s posts like this from the ply mouth dick head which has really turned me and I suspect a good many other Town fans against these arrogant tossas. I hope they f uc king croak. But reading between the lines of his post seems they are DESPERATE for us to drop points …. Maybe they should take with their own games.

That was a post from an Ipswich fan!

I come in peace.

Your form has been amazing and if you survive those two tough away games you’ll be up.

I hope we join you!

He can get quite emotional innit.

Yeh right another deflected goal, so spawny ;)

Same... hope it's Argyle and Town, don't care about the order... and Barnsley via playoffs.

Dunno about you lot, but seeing Owls fall away feels kind of karmic as a Town fan after the nonsense off side and fan behaviour at Hillsborough.

Internet age innit. You speak the truth, dunno how old you are, but young'uns don't half get brave online. I'm old enough to have seen this all blow up before, so i'm just keeping everything crossed unti after the last game! Us and you lot would be nice, order doesn't matter.

We know.

We also know we are overachieving and that we are running on fumes. Those 3 home games we have in a week are going to be crucial.

If we don’t go up we are still in good shape. Financially sound and a focus on youth development.

I don’t think the “big boys” can all say the same.

It's one or two fans. Every club has them.

I like Plymouth because of the Mariner connection, personally.

Be humble, 5 games to go, many things can still happen. I remember 1981, we SHOULD have won the league and FA cup, we had to settle with just the UEFA cup. 'Best' teams do not always end up as champions.

Eh?

What’s the point of a league table then?

Over the season, whoever finishes top has obviously been the best over 46 games. We’ve improved significantly since the January window and are now comfortably the best side in the league. There’s a difference.

Nobody. And it was also another manager claiming we’re the best team in the league by a country mile. Nowt to do with us. It’s touched a nerve though obviously

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

If we’re talking points on the board then the facts don’t support that. Over the last 22 games Barnsley have gained 4 more points than us. We have gained 1 point more than Plymouth and Sheff Weds.

But if we’re talking quality of football, style of play, control of games, goals scored and lack of goals conceded, then yes, I think pretty much everyone agrees we are the best in the league.

Unfortunately it’s points that win prizes. Hopefully in 4 games we’ll have the points as well as the style to claim the undisputed ‘Best in the league’ title.

If you don't go up you won't be in good shape - it will be a massive knock and take time to recover from. Promotion is vital whenever there is a chance.

Plymouth been excellent at not drawing games, as draws get you nowhere - 3 wins from here should see you up and I'd be amazed if you don't get up from here as shown such resilience throughout season even when not playing well.

But don't try and pretend that promotion isn't important
