Second club? 12:18 - Jun 8 with 18966 views | BrettenhamBlue | Just wondering if anyone here actively supports a second club? I've been following the fortunes of Sheffield FC last couple of seasons (worlds oldest club) ...in Northern Premier East Division...

Also keep an eye out for Ayr utd in scotland (holiday and lovely place) And Fortuna for obvious reasons. Non league Chelmsford city. Have a sof spot for all underdogs ie bury, Crewe etc real fans no glory hunters

Second club? on 19:28 - Jun 8 with 2441 views | eastangliaisblue | Athletic Bilbao for me. My brother lived there for a while back in the early 00's. Used to go watch them whenever i visited him. I still try and get over there a few times a season.

Second club? on 21:17 - Jun 8 with 2371 views | WestSussexBlue | Everton. Always a soft spot and have an eye on their results. That said, I’ve only seen them live once….at Portman Road in our Premier league season and yes I was most definitely in the home end. Never would I be watching Everton if we were also playing.
Second club? on 21:21 - Jun 8 with 2374 views | powinswitch | My first ‘second club’ date from 1988 when I was posted to Ratingen. The nearest team were in the Zweite liga’, and were Fortuna Düsseldorf. I was an ever present at home, and away games included Fortuna Koln, Bayer Uerdigen, Bayer Leverkussen, and Borussia Gladbach. The team included Jorg Schmadtke, Uwe Fuchs, SSven Demandt and the Allofs brothers, and they were managed by Thomas Ristic. At the old Rhein Stadion. My only other second team are the Jam Tarts. I was posted to Edinburgh in 1994, and Tynecastle was the closest stadium to my home. And so it was the boy in maroon. I went to every game I could at both stadiums. But nothing compares to the Town. Not even close.

Can you imagine how delighted I was when we started a link with them. Couldn’t believe it. They are much better supported now. But so are we.

Load of us went to a game over there on my 50th. Great time and that bar street thing is incredible - although if I were to be overly critical it was all a bit sanitised, no edge to it. Mind you, when the locals knew we were from Ipswich it was sing song ahoy. Great weekend.

I have a good friend in Portadown who by all accounts seems to be a bit “connected” Everyone seems to know each other over there, maybe I’ll PM you. He works out of Mayfair business park.

Second club? on 22:05 - Jun 8 with 2263 views | lizzibee | I'll admit I do. I went to Uni in south London in the early 90's and couldn't get back to Ipswich for games as often as I liked so walked the ten minutes to watch Millwall and followed ever since. Same, but slightly lesser for Newcastle when I studied there. Yes, I have their shirt but when it comes to the two teams playing its Ipswich every day but really want Millwall to do well also. A fantastic club
Second club? on 22:26 - Jun 8 with 2248 views | skinnybob72 | Arniston Rangers who have just been promoted to the East of Scotland 1st Division! That's the 7th tier in the Scottish pyramid system. My son plays u10s with them at present - on the odd occasion we are at home and not in Suffolk...

Second club? on 00:20 - Jun 9 with 2202 views | acj | Spent some time living in Brazil and adopted Fluminense while I was there. Joined one of their torcidas and used to have an absolute riot going to their games - rarely missed a home game and did all the local away days vs Flamengo, Botafogo & Vasco da Gama. Been living in Chile for the last few years and have taken on Palestino as my club here. Tiny club founded by Palestinian immigrants a century ago, and they punch well above their weight. My Mrs is a big Colo Colo fan (biggest side in Chile) and we’re season ticket holders at both clubs, so get to live football most weekends one way or the other.

Second club? on 00:30 - Jun 9 with 2195 views | GunnsAirkick | No but have been to watch a few clubs with Norwich supporting mates, mostly non-league. Norwich United was the most dull. No one seemed to care there and it's in Blofield just outside of Norwich and not close to a whole lot. My favourite is Great Yarmouth Town. A pretty low standard, but a good bar, lovely vintage stand (as with a lot of Yarmouth, great architechure but in this case has been preserved) and some great local fans who were very welcoming. The one that bakfired is Cambridge United. Cambridge is a good day out if you know where to go and avoid the tourist centre areas, so we've been a few times. It lead to mockey when we ended up in the same league though.

Was there in May for last home game of the season with my twtd comrade NorwegianBlue. Awesome weekend meeting the Fortuna fans, seeing the city, going to the match against Hannover (3 3 thriller). Took 2 itfc home shirts with us for our hosts who made us feel so welcome at Trinkhalle Reeser Platz. Everywhere we went the town badge was recognised. Made lots of new friends
Second club? on 07:25 - Jun 9 with 2120 views | Help | I would not say support, but when I was really young met a Bradford lass on holiday and always have a look at their results, loved that lass, also Fiorentina as they used to have a lovely purple kit with 7up as sponsor, loved that kit.
