How well do you think we will start with 15 points up for grabs?

I think we will be on 10 points. Looking at injury doubts, we will narrowly fall short at Sunderland, get the edge over Stoke, I'd have us down as favourites against QPR & Cardiff and Leeds will be a 50/50 occasion type game where we get a point.

FWIW, also get past Bristol Rovers into the 2nd round of the Carabao Cup too.

That would be a reasonable start given tough opposition as we start the adjustment to championship level.

Less than 6 means we have lost games or we are being very conservative in points accumulation, more than 8 and we are all pretty pleased with Aug.

3/5 at home, 2/5 against likely relegation candidates. Probably a good time to play Stoke, given the number of new recruits they have to bed in, probably a good time to play a recently relegated side.

Good mixture of opportunities to get points on the board and challenging games that might be even more challenging later in the season. You'd hope we'd win at least 2 of them and the other 3 to be tight affairs.

Yeah I wouldn't say it's a tough start or an easy start, I would say it's a pretty decent cross section of the division. Away trips to a playoff side last season in Sunderland with a big ground, and a struggler in QPR. Home to Leeds who will surely be up there come the end of the season, Stoke who were middling but with potential to be much stronger if their recruitment clicks, and Cardiff who, while a biggish club, didn't look great last season and still don't. If you had to plump for where those 5 will finish you would probably have a decent spread across the table.

I'd have Leeds and Sunderland as at least play off candidates and possible autos.

Stoke clicking later on in the season to challenge for the play offs

Cardiff as relegation strugglers with a reasonable shout for avoiding the drop

and QPR are my favourites for relegation.

So a if I'm right, and I rarely am, that's a good cross section of the division
