Given his stats, Cooper should be at least 5m given the price Burnley paid for a keeper with worse League one stats. He would probably be substantially more than that.

Now please answer why you're saying one thing on the forum and the complete opposite in the comments.

As for my "usual", if you mean posting with facts, evidence and some common sense I'm not surprised you've got no time for it. All those things are totally foreign to you.

SB

As said. If coopers value as 1.5 then I believe he'd be in our price range. If not then he wouldn't.

If your going to bring up comments elsewhere. Feel free to include the whole discussion which Is around player trading etc. But I can't see you doing so. So enjoy your evening SB. Youve had your answer.

Why are you asking about the price it would cost us for a very expensive keeper whilst also posting on the comments section that we have no money due to FFP and can't compete with other championship clubs?

You can't believe both things so one of them is clearly messing people about.

Ha! There is no escaping for Frimmers from you Stokie. Not even on the comments page.

To be fair GB, as you know it's easy to escape from me.

Post evidence based stuff rather that total nonsense and everyone's a winner.

Interesting that there's a whole forum of football posts. Loads of comments on the news section.
Even TB was on earlier and had a 4 pager

Yet your only football page contribution today is to me.

You've got issues fella. Serious issues.

....absolutely obsessed with Frimmers.

He really fancies him, but hides it by pretending to hate him.

I used to do the same thing to Sarah Jacobs when I was 11.

It's essentially a schoolyard crush.

Thanks for your input, sterling as usual and not at all based on the 1970s.

Would this be what you love to term a "pile on"?

I'm confused with the rule changes between leagues so may be wrong - I thought keepers didn't count towards our squad limit in League One but do in the Championship?

Squad limit is 25.

GKs are now included, anyone over 21 is included, and any loan from a premier league club irrespective of age is included.

We have 3 x under 21 age players around the squad that don’t count in squad numbers, Slicker, Baggot, Humphries; I’m not including the other lads like Carr at this stage. Hutch falls foul to the rule above.

As it stands we have 4 keepers and 3 contributing to over 21, Walton, Vas, Hayes. Slicker does not count for squad numbers.

I don't think he's messing about, he's just a bit dim.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Agreed. Hladky has waited paitently, and did fine in those cup games.

As you say, no point him being here if he can't step up when Walton is injured.

But we’re talking about months here not the odd game. I get that it takes up a squad place but it’s the most important position on the pitch. It would be nuts to go into a new season when we have just stepped up a level with someone who hasn’t really played outside League 2 and a novice. An experienced keeper is essential, even if it s just a loan until January.

If Waltons injury is that severe he could even be deregistered until January. It all depends on what the Club mean by months

Much as I love Paul, I'm not sure he would be answer or would want to come out of retirement

He wouldn't even fly back from the Med for Sir Bobby when the 78 squad had their big civic reunion.

Soured my memories of him.

Seen some suggest a loan move for Bart. But he wouldn't fit our style of play using the keeper to start attacks from the back these days.

Hladky does, and I think we have to back him 100% - If he gets injured we can always get an emergency loan.

I don't think we should waste money on a replacement myself.

Agreed. Hladky may not be at Walton’s level overall given how commanding he is in the air.

But ball at his feet Hladky is probably better which can suit us. Certainly feels more solid to start the season with Hladky than get another keeper up to speed.

It's worth remembering that Plymouth lost Cooper, who at the time was the best keeper in league one, for the second half of the season and they still won the league.

That’s fair, but that was league 1 and halfway through a season where Plymouth had a fair idea about what the league held for them. We are at the start of the season and to an extent stepping into the unknown.

I suppose there’s still 3 weeks in the window, so there’s enough time to get a keeper in if Hladky doesn’t work out
