Morsy 16:39 - Aug 13 with 3937 views | cbower | I find it astonishing that we were able to get him from an established Championship club with certain PL aspirations when we were in L1. He delivers every game and it is one of the few things alongside Chaplin and Walton that we can thank Paul Cook for. Morsy is the midfielder we lacked for so long.

I imagine that it is every professional footballer's dream to turn out for their country Even though it might not suit us as a club, I'm certain that he will be sent with our blessings, should he be called up for a tournanament.... maybe not so so much for friendlies [Post edited 13 Aug 2023 17:15]

Aside from worries he pick up an injury if he is away, all championship sides get international breaks off anyway don't they? So we wouldn't miss him from any league games.

This tournamant is the one that causes issues for top leagues. They did try to move it to Northern hemisphere summer break as they have with Euros and Copa America being the same year now...but it got all messed up by covid and other issues.

I've probably missed out FA cup and Carabao matches there too

Morsy on 18:12 - Aug 13 with 3099 views | Swansea_Blue | If I remember rightly (and there’s a good chance I don’t), he wasn’t especially wanted at Boro. He wasn’t ever-present in the season before we signed him. Some players suit some systems and some managers/clubs better than others. Luckily for us he’s a great fit here.

If they were five years younger, they wouldn’t be playing for us.

No they’d be playing for Wigan and QPR.

We have the reaching peak players like Chappers. But right here, right now we have peak Morsy. Who I believe in this moment is our best player. He’s absolutely immense.

Morsy on 19:31 - Aug 13 with 2616 views | BigCommon | We got Morsy here, largely off the back of Paul Cook being our manager at the time. It's been well documented that he had a good relationship with PC, and it was a big factor as to why he stepped down a division, to play here..

Good chance for Taylor to stake his claim. He’ll be motivated, and given how persistent McKenna was in bringing him here, I’m excited to see what he can do with a run in the team.

He was caught in the middle of a power struggle. Warnock wanted to keep him but their head of recruitment decided to get his wages off the books to fund other signings.
