This tournamant is the one that causes issues for top leagues.
They did try to move it to Northern hemisphere summer break as they have with Euros and Copa America being the same year now...but it got all messed up by covid and other issues. | |

If I remember rightly (and there’s a good chance I don’t), he wasn’t especially wanted at Boro. He wasn’t ever-present in the season before we signed him. Some players suit some systems and some managers/clubs better than others. Luckily for us he’s a great fit here. |  |

He was caught in the middle of a power struggle. Warnock wanted to keep him but their head of recruitment decided to get his wages off the books to fund other signings. |  |
