Not sure if I'm happy with the idea of Clarke, Donacien or Ball playing CB for a long period of time. We'll miss Clarke's attacking impetus on the right, Donacien has always been more comfortable at full back and how many appearances has Ball made at centre half?
"I wouldn't go that far. However , stopping and not chasing a ball in a penalty area because you want a foul was not a great touch."
I don't think that spells "entitled" to be fair .Personally I'd say it was more naïve than anything and who else would you want to make the guy better than KMcK
The young lad has been here two minutes and he gets slated - not a good look sorry
I get the argument that Baggott is inexperienced (particularly at this level), but I also feel that sometimes a player makes such rapid progress (and has sufficient mental strength to deal with setbacks) that the lack of experience doesn't matter so much. I feel Baggott may be one of those, and as such I wouldn't be averse to Burgess/Baggott/Leigh as our LCB options for the season.
It would be a risk of course, but we're not in a make or break season and the upside of Baggott getting coaching and some games here might be worth that risk for me.
I'M not of the opinion that bringing in, so called Championship experience in the form of an aging pro, is essential... We have some good experienced pros in Luongo and Morsy, marshalling the defensive side of our game, just in front of the CBs. Morsy in particular is constantly barking orders. Also Dom Ball you could put in that category.... We have 3 solid CB back ups in Fridge, Ball and Baggot.... I'd put Baggot at the level Woolfy was at, when forced his way back into the first team. With an, as yet, unknown ceiling... I'm a huge fan of Baggot. I'd like to see him progress at the club. He has nothing to learn by spending a season in L1, imo.

Ball has played 17 times as a CB in the Championship and Scottish Premiership.
Edwards is excellent but I didn't include him for two reasons. I don't think he'd be gettable for us unless a Premier League side buy him and loan him out for a season and he's not particularly good in the air, so despite having quality he's not the type we need.
Im not sure you can be a centre back destined for the PL and not good enough in the air. Im sure he would be good for us but Peterborough will want silly money.

From what I’ve seen of him he’s not been particularly dominant in the air. I think the issue is just as much that the new signing is going to be competing with Cam Burgess so will have to be pretty exceptional at that part of the game. Edwards has many other qualities and will go on to have a better career than any of the centre backs we currently have at the club but I don’t think he’s the type of player we’re after.
