"Yes. They struggled with the ball alot today. "

Plain wrong.

"Everyone's entitled to their opinion so you're of course entitled to see It differently."

Such a vacuous cliche and unreasonable position to take. I've never considered you a troll or a budgie or all the other sh1t thrown at you but by Christ you do make it hard.

Personally I don't see how people see it a different way almost like every game I'd perfect. It wasn't. Many games won't be and sometimes you'll still win them which we did.

But I personally don't see that's to much of a negative to say we didn't pass well.

Burns was killed by wolfy for it
Jd nearly gave a goal away because of it
We had numerous attacks stopped or slowed down as we either overhit passes on the dig or or overhit balls into the 10s. Morsys attacking 5 yard passes weren't making it.

Again that's not being overly negative it's just how it was. Our passing was sloppy and it wasn't a great day for us with the ball.

But again we won. So it doesn't matter in the slightest but doesn't mean I'm going to ignore what happened in the game just so people on the Internet like my posts. Personally think to many posters are scared to post actual thoughts rather than ones that keep them 'onside'

I guess its all about expectations. Some of us accept that we are in a higher league, that we will come up against other good ( and sometimes better ) teams, and that we are not going to play perfectly every week.

Therefore I personally don't see what is to be gained by calling out every misplaced pass or moaning when the other teams good play ( or pressing ) robs us of possession. This is what is expected, so just go with it and enjoy the games where me manage to overcome all of the above and still get a positive result.

I was very happy we won the game that's a given. But I like to discuss the football that took place and not just sit by and say 3 in 3 nothing else to talk about. But hey I'm just from a generation where you discussed football rather than looking for uppies from strangers.

Not really sure who to respond to in this thread.

Collectively the defence weren't at their best yesterday.

Eg: JD turned around, ran back in what looked like a panic, and then passed it to their player. Very unlike him. He typically plays a simple ball well.

Eg: Woolfenden missed kicked the ball, allowing their player through. Very unlike him.

Eg: Clarke kicked the ball straight to their player, who turned it wide from a couple of yard.

Eg: Clarke and Woolfenden mixed up and got burnt for pace as a result.

They also under or over hit their balls to Broadhead and particularly Burns a lot. Coupled with QPR's tactics, this took our them out of the game for large parts.

Not sure how any of this is the midfields fault. But I didn't think Luongo had the best game either. Surprised we didn't see Taylor come on around 60-70mins.

Anyway, with all this said, the comment irked me, and it is due to context. The poster has been saying the defence isn't good enough all summer and we need to replace both Woolfenden and Burgess. However, across the first three games they have generally look resolute and have settled into the challenge well.

When I see comments like "bloody" in there, I think "grow up".

When I see the same poster only putting out strong negative posts about the defence and not similar posts when they make as great save or a great tackle, I think it is just so they can try and build a case.

Finally, watch three games from any other club and you will see defensive error or people getting beaten by attackers. We have minimized ours across three games, which is why we have conceded the least in the division.

Our shape out of possession so far this season has been excellent. And the defence has had strong individual contributions.

For my part In the midfield being mentioned. I felt we put our defence under pressure with a poor display on the ball, that was my point. Defence starts from attack.. we keep the ball better up the pitch and these issues at the back are kept to a minimum. Luongo. Morsy. Burns. Chappers..broady all guilty at the time of the post of not doing well with the ball imo. The important thing again is at the time of the posting and the response time.

The thing is, you do this every season. You lock on to a particular player and keep going and going on the negative - and for the most part, you end up looking like a wally. No one is disagreeing that yesterday's match was probably the least pretty we've played in a long time, but you go from slating burns, to then posting about various positions under performing and then go back to saying something like Burns is the only person you have issue with.

What we don't see from you are very many positive posts with reasoned points about what could be better.

In short, reading your consistent stream of negative hot takes is akin to a child having a tantrum in a super market. Yes, we hear you and it is bloody annoying. Cheer up, enjoy the seasons and figure out how to be objective with your hot takes - because I am telling you that even if you orbit something that comes close to being reality you've cried wolf so many times it's going to be close to pointless as we're all clutching our ears from the tantrums.

Depends what I'm responding to in a thread tho.

If its a post about Burns. Then I'll reply about Burns specifically. This one isn't so I'm sharing my thoughts at the time of what I felt wasn't helping the defence. In effect I was positively defending the defence by providing my view on why at times they struggled.. I didn't join in and say oh yeah defense is rubbish etc. I felt they coped as best as they could yesterday.

There's no stream of negative hot takes. Just comments that don't follow a certain twtd golden rule it seems.

What more are you after?

I've said we won a game we didn't perform well in and that's all that matters.

I don't feel there were any specific good performances yesterday to comment on. We won which is the main thing but I can't say I'd personally give anyone more than 7/10 yesterday. That's not being overly negative for negatives sake it just wasn't a good performance imo.

Attacking other posters with a passive aggressive post in the middle of a game because they downvoted you for claiming the midfield was awful is a great example of poor self awareness.

Claims of "Chappers can't win this game on his own" also end up getting eyebrows raised, especially when it was a moment of individual resilience from Chaplin that won the game yesterday.

In the case of Arnie yesterday, someone glancing on the forums would have saw this -

Clearly this screws up perception and then enjoyment of what is actually happening. You have done similar in the past with turbo posting in the middle of games and it really sucks.

But that's what I mean by live game posting and you've just given evidence that you don't like it.. All you're asking for are positive thoughts only during the game. It's strange and not natural. You go through various emotions during a game and a forum is a great place to share those thoughts whilst you're all watching it from various places around the world.

Regarding the down arrow thing.. not sure what you mean by attacking a poster for down arrowing.

Regarding chappers comment. Yes. At HT. In game thoughts. That's why me and keno have a long running joke about football genius as it always bites me in the butt and it's great when it does. But at the time of the post I felt he was trying to much when simpler things were available to him.

I think Arnie could add a bit to his posts mind you. But I agree with his sentiment, hladky had me and my son screaming at the TV.

It wasn't ludicrous at the time of his post. That's the point. He's entitled to post what he wants during a live game. The forum is free for people to do so..

Suddenly people after the game come on and comment about number of cleansheets in previous games etc. He's not talking about anything other than that exact time of his post. Which I believed was when Armstrong went for a stroll past wolfy and clarke.. I can't remember exactly which moment it was this far on of course.

To many people get worked up on in game views which again I've said many times before. It's in game. There will be hot takes during games. It's the emotion and passion of football supporters.

You say this one post after "Everyone's entitled to their opinion".

Well no. You're doing you usual trick of twisting something said.

Arnie posted during the game about something taking place at that moment.

People are posting afterwards bringing up past or post game stats that have nothing to do with his in the moment thoughts. It's just odd. I don't see why.. what has that got to do with his thoughts at the time of posting.

Absolutely understand if you were going to reply and say I disagree, at the time the defence were.......

It's just odd. People lose their sht at in game thoughts by bringing up the number of games unbeaten... wtf does that have to do with anything.

If qpr scored that post chance. People would have in game bemoanimg the pass by JD that lead to the chance.. not ignoring it and just saying he's been part of an unbeaten squad for 21 games etc.

I think (and am prepared to stand corrected) he's saying that people are going to have hot takes in the game, which may seem reactive or unfair, due to the emotion of the moment. So it may be best to let them go, rather than slag the poster off as it is an emotional rather than logical reaction.

Obviously when these posts are still being made when the emotion of the moment has receded...

I think the problem you have is that most of the time you're just wrong. You don't read football very well I'm afraid to say. And a lot of that might simply be down to the fact that you don't go to games, so you can't see the full picture. You're only seeing what the cameraman sees, and thus are missing a lot of off-the-ball stuff.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

That's fine. But 'most'of my replies in this thread isn't about my personal thoughts on the football its been my defence of armie and his own in game thoughts. And sometimes when it is my thoughts it could be use of wording that rubs people the wrong way rather than being wrong tbh. Awful instead of not great today perhaps.

But mainly my thoughts on this thread was mainly about arnie and others in game thoughts. I think they should Be welcomed without ridicule after with thoughts that aren't relevant to the in game emotions at play.
