Wolves at FPR on 22:29 - Aug 30 with 3897 views | HighgateBlue | Definitely. Just as playing Rotherham in the FA Cup last year gave us confidence we could compete with Champ teams, this will be a great opportunity to see what we can do against a relatively lowly Prem opponent. Will be interesting to see whether Kieran keeps picking the 2nd XI or whether there will be a stronger side.

6 all prem ties so wouldn't hold out too much hope. Lincoln v West Ham if they wanted a possible David v Goliath tie, or Salford v Burnley if the Salford media love in is still going strong. Edit 5. Forgot Leicester were relegated! [Post edited 30 Aug 2023 22:49]

Last cup tie at home v Wolves on TV was a shocker. We were a poor Prem side in 93/4 and they were a division lower and passed us off the pitch. Think Mark Venus played for them. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I think it will be much changed still but with a couple of others coming in. Could see something like: Slicker Donacian Woolf Edmundson Williams Morsy Taylor Hutchinson Chaplin Harness Ladapo Of course we'll hopefully have one or two new in who will shake this team up slightly.

Definitely going to show the Oil Derby but I reckon they'll go boring with Man Utd v Palace.

That was my first ever game. Lost 1-2 I think, 4th round replay?

I'd say drawing someone like Stoke, Cardiff or Blackburn would have been far more boring and far less to be gained from. I think it's a good draw. A test against a Prem opposition who we may surprise.

Certainly not the most boring it could’ve been, I’d say it’s middle tier.

Man Utd vs absolutely anyone is almost guaranteed TV coverage. Man City vs Newcastle highly likely, as is Liverpool vs Leicester I would've thought.

It was a strange one. We played Spurs in the 4th round and trampled all over them 3-0. Wolves in the draw? Hello thought us - in with a shout here! So off we went to the first game on the Galloways bus. Treated like animals by the West Midlands police of course. Given what a sh£thole Wolverhampton is quite what they were afraid of goodness only knows. Anyway, we were down the side in front of the stand and we played alright. Wark scored first in the 1-1 draw. Happy days. Replay shouldn’t be a problem. It wasn’t a problem - for Wolves. They played us off the pitch. God, we were poor and the outcome from 20 mins in was never in doubt. So disappointing. In fact our season went down the pan from there and we were truly terrible. Looking at the results a win at Villa was all we managed after the Wolves debacle. How we survived I’ll never know (Mark Stein). [Post edited 31 Aug 2023 6:35]

No. Been a regular since 85 and go to all home and away games. Just see this as a really boring tie. Wolves are not interesting or exciting opposition. A lower division team would have been better

You mean a team from the division we just spent 5 years trying to get away from?! That interests you more than seeing us at home Vs a prem team, to see how we get on against them?! Have you lost the plot

Wolves at FPR on 09:27 - Aug 31 with 1692 views | _clive_baker_ | Ipswich vs Wolverhampton sounds more like a speedway match. Decent draw for us though. It's at home and therefore no travel which is a bonus, some of those long away trips didn't look particularly inviting. Avoids a club in our division which is always a smelly cup draw. Good test against an opponent that have been to Everton and won already this season, hammered Blackpool 5-0 in the last round and also been to Man United and narrowly and unjustly lost. Good test against a very good side.
