Don't be silly. You always come up with the strangest suggestions

Must admit, I thought we'd need better than Freddie, but good on him. I'm happy to eat humble pie on that one today. It's impossible to not like Freddie though, he's seems such a nice bloke.

I remember the arrival of Hirst woke him up a bit last season.. Maybe the Scarlett signing will/is doing the same..?

Hate's a bit strong. Unless you're talking about twitter, which I have no idea about.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I was being sarcastic. Freddie has long been underappreciated. Too many people read McKenna going with Jackson last week as a lack of faith in Freddie. When in reality it was a tactical decision.

Not sure I see the point of of this even though it 's sarcasm.

I'm so glad he didn't go yesterday, knows how we play, great hold up play, 20ish goals last season 3 already this, we create alot of chances so another 15-20 easily achievable, him, Hirst and Scarlett all vying for one position can only be good

On that note, and you're probably too young to remember, but the best sub ever must have been David Fairclough of Liverpool. Liverpools honours would be a couple short if it wasn't for him.

Yeah, defo.

His two goals had a combined yardage of 1 yard.

Think he did the same against Charlton at PR. Nearly got a hatrick that day.

While he was the Supersub of the 70s, I think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer outranks him as the GOATSub.

So pleased for Freddie who, despite all the naysayers, just keeps knocking in the goals. And his overall game is usually pretty good, and was excellent today.

We really are spoilt for choice with regard to the No.9 this season, with Hirst, Jackson and Ladapo each putting in some great performances, and Dane Scarlett waiting in the wings.

People doubting him need to look at today.

Yes not every game is going to his kind of game, but today he brought the other attacking players more into.the game by his holding up etc.

I think he did a lot better than Hirst at that.

In the ground I hear no ill of Freddie. Through social media and on this board I read plenty of comments that’s we need better. I’m sure we do in future. I don’t see why you would t want Ladapo in the building as part of the squad mix, we need options and that’s what we have. As has been said, undervalued and underappreciated.

For all those starting to sharpen knive for any player, this is the squad we have. Whether you think they are good enough or not, this is KMcKs squad and I will tend to side with him on matters of squad make up.

'Swap him for Cashin' brigade has gone quiet.

I am afraid that Freddie looks a strong scapegoat candidate. Obviously it is a long way to reach Toto Nsiala levels of scapegoating but he will be knocked by some experts for every single chance he's missed.

I agree about Ladapo, but you do keep banging the Toto drum, and Toto was/is pretty crap. And yet again... for the record... I was vociferous in my support for Toto and never moaned or jeered, because that's counterproductive. But he wasn't a very good defender for us, except for a handful of games when he made a few good blocks. Unlike Ladapo who has been demonstrably and unequivocally really good for Town.

Goals were a bit scrappy, but I thought his general play was as good as I’ve seen from him yesterday (especially as a sub where he doesn’t usually thrive). Yesterday’s version of Ladapo is more than good enough for us, let’s hope it continues for us and him.

It's more the constant harking back to Toto that's got me rolling my eyes Machers x

To your point on Ladapo, it's already happening innit. I wrote elsewhere that I'm sure some Bees fans will be talking about Mbeumo's miss rather than his goal. Which is fine per se, except the scrutiny becomes ridiculous and negative and is totally counterproductive and weird when supporting your team.
