That's a huge expense, set up and marketing exercise just to "keep buzz" on socials. The reason the black kit did so well was it was a one off, designed by Ed Sheeran, and a ton of his fans purchased it. Third kits are only mandatory in the Premier League, and in the EFL only required when there is a clash. Given that Sporting Irn Bru are not playing in the Championship this season, I think we're pretty safe on that. |  | | |

So why would you say it is definitely coming, when the club has said nothing, there has been no announcement and it is not required? There is no evidence there is any third kit coming.

Well quite.
It's bad enough that kits only last for one season - if there really is going to be a 3rd kit, it may well only last for a fraction of a season given that it isn't in existence yet.
Still, it'll probably be nicer, less pointless, and be around longer than our 4th kit, whenever that's announced...
I would quite like the third kit to be blue and orange striped, so that there's a knowing nod to its pointlessness. Chelsea have gone one better and made their away kit blue. This is the Chelsea banter era. Nice to hand over the baton. |  | | |

Given the bespoke Ed Sheeran blackout kit last season I don't think it's a guarantee that we'll have a templated one. Particularly if it's linked to his latest album launch which seems quite likely. | |

I haven't bought any of the kits this season, the away one is nice, the homes collar lets it down. I didn't like the Virtua Boy away kit we had last season, but much preferred last seasons home to this seasons. | | | |

Aren't many of the Umbro kits unique designs rather than templates? Only ones that seem to be are the GK kits |  | | |
