Nope, over 100mph is a mandatory ban pretty much but I doubt you'd get a year. Plus I had a clean licence with no motoring misdemeanours for years. If I was a regular offender may have been longer. I just wrote a "sorry" letter to the court and didnt even have to attend. 6 week ban, £500 fine and no points actually! Cos if they ban you, you don't get pts as well. | |

Not really, wouldn't normally do that kind of speed. It was lockdown, the roads were empty so I was only going to kill myself if i crashed. I'd just got a new motor, so I got a bit carried away and put my foot down. Silly thing and I paid the penalty. Lesson learned. | |

Some of the A10 is dual carriageway both sides now so 70 mph is legally possible, even so 113 mph is more than 50% over the limit - so like doing over 48 mph on an city street, or just over 32 mph past a junior school at three in the afternoon... |  |
