Listening to the summarised evidence, it was daft that the Government thought any of this was a good idea.

There was a really important bit when Lord Reed was basically saying that leaving the EHCR isn't some silver bullet for getting rid of human rights appeals as there are a bunch of other treaties we're signed up to that basically cover the same things.

I was listening to the summing up and the evidence against the government's plans is damning. How many millions wasted on this? Get these pricks out now.

Well at least they can say they've tried and lefty lawyers blocked them from stopping the boats. Speaking of evil lefty lawyers, what did that Bolshie Corbyn apologist used to do before becoming leader of the illegal boat loving opposition? It's all a very expensive, stupid strategy.

It is good to see they applied British law to this ruling. This kneecaps the narrative that the ECHR is the hanging point. Double loss for the clandestine bolIocks

£140m of tax payers cash wasted on a project always destined to fail.

Still, they can blame in on the lawyers and Europe now so always a silver lining eh.

How much are they spending on the Bibby Stockholm as well? Heaven forbid they invest in actually fixing the asylum system instead.

In my opinion, this should be enough for the tories to call a snap GE. Whilst it seems they would lose that, the months of intense in-fighting for this will only stand to risk the result becoming a massive landslide when the GE is due. (They wont call a snapper though, naturally)

Cue Braverman shouting about a failed democracy and when she becomes Supreme Leader she will pass new laws vetoing any Supreme Court judgement that goes against the government.

She has to somehow get a landslide for that, and to get if through Lords. I suspect with the SNP situation being as it is, this government is going to be lucky to get a hung parliament let alone a landslide.

Pair this with Bibby Stockholm now costing more than housing people in hotels due to the governments own risk assessment forcing the capacity of the prison barge to drop - this government isn't doing so well on immigration at the moment.

And even if you ignore their bigotry & playing to Daily Fail readership, their sheer stupidity & incompetence on this is staggering - I thought they were supposed to be the party of business & economic sense. You'd have thunk they could see we actually *need* immigrants, particularly now, given our shortage of workers across the range from agriculture, retail, transport, health & social care caused by, the unmentionable err ^B r i c k S h i t^ ...

Perhaps they just don't want to be seen acknowledging that last disaster ...

The cost of the referendum, PPE scandal and failed immigration act - all because they're frightened of a far right party gobbling up voters.

The tories can't claim to be the party of economic sense right now, not even close to it.

But concerning that, on a poll the BBC just published, 48% of the British public support or tend to support the policy whilst 18% Don't know. That's over 60% who are in support, don't know enough or don't care enough.

How on earth is a creature like Lee Anderson an MP, let alone holding a government post? I think even more than the awful Braverman, he represents the lack of talent and utter depravity of the current Tory party.

Simon Clarke was quoted this morning, supporting Rees-Mogg of saying we should literally pick up these people off the boats when they land in the UK and deposit them back on the French beaches.

Oh and leave the ECHR immediately..
