Would you rest Morsy for a couple of games on 19:57 - Dec 3 with 1976 views | Guthrum | There were those two periods last season when he went seven and ten games without picking up a card, staving off suspension for a crucial time. Can he do that again and be available for all three, plus the Christmas fixtures?

Would you rest Morsy for a couple of games on 19:05 - Dec 3 by Tangledupin_Blue | Just now our main rivals are Leicester, Leeds and Southampton. Atm beating any of these three will help us to be where we want to be more than beating Norwich will do. |
Whilst this is true, 3 points are 3 points whoever they are against. Those sides will drop points too whether it is against us or not. We cannot afford to take it easy in any match. We need to beat the opposition in front of us, be that Norwich, Leicester, Leeds, Southampton or AFC Wimbledon/Ramsgate (although it will be understandable to utilise the squad for the last one of those). In the position we are in, I will also happily take a draw in any of three matches you list.

Would you rest Morsy for a couple of games on 19:19 - Dec 3 by gtsb1966 | I personally think two out of the three mentioned will finish above us. Hope I'm wrong but the goals we give away and the fact that West Brom made us look poor with their established championship side makes me think play offs Southampton are looking strong too. Don't get me wrong I'm not being negative. We have done brilliant and continued to do so but it's just my gut feeling. A decent January transfer window could change that. I still think next season will be our promotion year.( if we don't go up via the play offs). We have come on leaps and bounds. [Post edited 3 Dec 2023 19:21]

I really don't think the goals we're giving away are an issue, because we keep on winning. After all, 53.3% of Leicester's wins have been by just the one goal margin, 63.6% of Leeds' and 72.7% of Southampton's. That last being more than us at 71.4%.

There' a long way to go but I wouldn't be shocked if we finish above all three of them. Look at the goals we are scoring and the fact that we can beat Sunderland, Stoke, Southampton, Cardiff, Hull, Preston, Bristol City, Swansea, Millwall and Coventry with their established Championship sides are good pointers. Add to that the 6 clean sheets we have kept so far in the league. Leicester have kept 7, Leeds 6 (4 of those in consecutive matches in September), and Southampton just 4 (3 of those in their last 5 games).

Would you rest Morsy for a couple of games on 17:58 - Dec 3 by Herbivore | Objectively, the Norwich game is by far the easiest of our next 5 games so if we had to pick a game for him to not be available it'd probably be that one. I'm hoping he can manage himself through this run of games without getting a suspension though and he's basically unrestable right now as we don't really have a like for like replacement. (I suspect you're not being entirely serious with this one in any case) |
He will be targeted by Norwich from the kick off to wind him up.

You are being negative. We are where we are on merit, playing beautiful football. All the sides you mention have weaknesses and drop points too. At the moment they drop a significant number more than us.

Would you rest Morsy for a couple of games on 18:26 - Dec 3 by _clive_baker_ | We’ve got a full week off between Norwich and Leeds, there’s no need to rest anyone. There’s perhaps an argument for a bit of rotation at Watford (eg Williams coming back in for Clarke) what with it being midweek and a lot of travel with Boro away on Saturday. But that’s always the case, regardless of whether it’s Norwich or not following it. I think it’ll just be a case of Taylor in for Luongo at Boro. Same front 4. Probably the same back 4 as well. |
Williams to play against Norwich, imagine he'll be well up for that game

He ost a little bit of his game during that period though. Which was fine against league One opposition, but Morsy playing with only 70% of his aggression in the Championship will see us getting punished imo.

Absolutely. We need to keep winning games and we want to be as far ahead of Leeds as possible before that game. The further ahead we are, the more the pressure is on them and the less on us. We don't want them right up our backsides and within 3 points of us before that game. It's a big one clearly but it's within our hands to write the narrative going into it. Would you rest Morsy for a couple of games on 18:54 - Dec 3 by SitfcB | Yes let’s do that I really really wanna smash them. It’s weird because if you look at it as a neutral you say easy home win but we all know it’s a one off game and form, everything goes out of the window. It’s been so long. We surely smash them. The PMT is already in full flow and we have two games before then!! |
One things for sure there should be goals, top scorers in league vs equal 2nd, 2nd most conceded at home vs second most conceded in whole league, on paper a goal fest. 0-0 incoming !
