A very strange statistic we have.. 14:39 - Dec 4 with 3022 viewscarlo88

We have the best home record in the entire division, yet have conceded the most number of goals at home too! Very weird.

Joint most conceded, along with Preston (but we've scored double the amount they have).

We've also conceded the joint fewest number of goals away from home (just 8 goals) in the division.

It would only be concerning if we’d not won 9 out of 10 at home this season.

If we win, who cares how many we concede?

Although it's usually more than one more... we've scored 30 home goals, the next nearest to that tally are Plymouth on 24, Leeds and Watford, on 21 home goals, then Southampton on 19.

I'd disagree. As I have said since KM joined us. The issue only becomes problematic we we stop creating chances.

As we have seen though - even through our comparatively dry period this time last year - the amount and quality of the chances created didn't really drop away - we just struggled to convert at that time.

What was interesting is that KM didn't really change the approach - he knew the team were doing the right things.

So, concerning, no not at all.

Evan McKenna was not happy that we conceded that 2nd goal to Swansea couple weeks ago , said so in his post match comments , so some concern from the manager himself .

Do you think KM would be happy with any goal we conceded?

Besides, it doesn't address the point I made.

Assume it’s a tongue in cheek comment.

How do you explain conceding the joint least goals away from home then? I think it's pretty clear that the goals conceded at home is a result of the style/openness of how we play at home. Of course we would like to concede less but we don't want to change things at home whilst we are so potent and winning games.

We've got the joint best defensive record away from home where the defence generally comes under more pressure. I know you love to keep repeating this line about our defence, it doesn't make it any truer.

Admittedly, it might be a bit of a squeeze, but with a bit of effort, would be worth it, to maintain the factual integrity of it.

BFJ's legacy of producing 'The Entertainers" will soon be forgotten at this rate.

We've scored two at home twice, all the rest have been threes and fours. Ridiculous.

This is very much something you have historically focused on Arnie.

If you take us in the round, where are those frailties exactly? Away from home, we defend extremely well, without losing ability to be an attacking force.

At home, we look to be more expansive, taking the game to our opponents and are not afraid to get bodies forward.

It is extremely hard to argue that this approach hasn't served us extremely well. Promotion from L1 and lying second in the Championship.

Remember, the likelihood of KM looking to tighten the defence invariably means we will be less of a threat going forward.

The balance at the moment, is nigh on perfect.

Who is BFJ? You mean our former manager Joe Royle? Not very respectful to fat shame the guy.
