He is correct. On the orange part. Not the blub part.

I think there is something in this. Especially in those winter months where its neither light nor dark at times.

Away games played: Home kit - 12 points from 12 Orange kit - 8 points from 15 Statistically it has done us harm as well as just being wrong to wear without reason. If that’s all we have to moan about this season though then I’ll certainly take it.

We're in orange tomorrow I think on 09:18 - Dec 23 with 1355 views | Mark | Teams not wearing their home colours when they can is right up there in the list of things I dislike about modern football. Blue is our colour, our heritage, our identity. I want to see us play in blue, and teams coming to Portman Road to wear their home colours when then can. Imagine if we get promoted and Liverpool come to Portman Road wearing a white away shirt. Something is lost from the occasion.

I wouldn’t say “perfectly clear” . I’ll admit to being a pedant, and people may not care about grammar and syntax , but it does grate to me.

Appreciate that, but it was clear to me. It's far worse in the non-footbll threads when poor grammar can result in ambiguity & a 10-pager row!

I've always wondered about this whenever I see any team not playing in their traditional home colours. Does it actually have an effect? Does it reduce performance levels and chances of a victory? Are any reduced win % when wearing away kits simply due to it being 'harder' to win away from home? [Post edited 23 Dec 2023 10:16]

I can't see that it would have any effect on results. Everton go to Tottenham today and are apparently going to wear their red away strip. At least our away shirts are not yellow!

To be fair to Everton, their away kit is not really 'Red' more 'Fuchsia' or 'Salmon' And our away shirt was yellow for quite some time.

For many years our away shirts were yellow. Fortunately the shorts were blue!
