Not slating the guy and I like him but when he came on against Wimbledon it really looked like he’s done.
He got slipped through and didn’t even make an attempt to run to it as he knew he wouldn’t get it, same ball for Jackson and he’s through one on one.
Couldn’t even control the ball, was obviously only a brief cameo but didn’t look great.
A great bloke to have around the squad with a wealth of experience, but once we make a couple or few more signings I wouldn’t be surprised to see him de-registered. [Post edited 23 Jan 2024 17:44]

Didn't notice this and I still rate him as a footballer. He looked good in pre-season....
But I still just can't fathom why we really gave him a squad place or equally why he accepted it or will accept it for another 6 months.
I completely understand us wanting him in a coaching and mentoring capacity. Glad he's around. But he wants to play football and he wasn't going to get it and hasn't got it. It did sound like the plan was for him to keep a squad place but surely in our position we want 25 players all fighting for a start. | |

I understand what you're saying, but you could say that about any player, though. I think it would be good for Morsy to have some game time.

Sunderland are three points off the play offs and Leicester are a dominant force at this level. We put two decent performances and got four points.
I agree, Morsy is a key component moving forward. But if he doesn't play against Maidstone he won't have had game time for approaching a month by the time Preston comes around. | |

Nope, when he came on against Wimbledon he made Keogh look rapid.
