The one thing under KMc I've noticed is none of our players ever do that stuff, like ever. So Downes wouldn't be that niggly if he joined us.
And there were ample chances in this game given the refs propensity for awarding free kicks for tripping over, for Town players to do so. But they just carry on ride the challenge if they have to.
Sarmientos goal comes from a move where Morsy is challenged in our half, in a way Southamptons players would have rolled over instantly for a free kick, obviously given the situation of the game at that stage, but even when they were leading in the firsy half they did it, the ref even signalled advantage so it was absolutely a free kick he would have given if Morsy goes to to ground, but he rode the challenge passes to Leif who knocks to Sarmiento, the rest is history. | | | |

I like flynn but morsy's got a lot more to his game. Flynn would have to get a lot better at dribbling and long range passing to play that role. He'd also need to demand the ball constantly, which he didn't do last night (although that might be down to southampton's tactics).
