I'd go with Carrick.

Any other suggestions?

Danny Rohl. Or possibly one of KM's coaching team step up if they are interested and don't follow him to United.

Yeah it's Danny Rohl. I'd probably take Potter too but Rohl would be my first choice.

Think that is a bit harsh on Cooper. Plays good football, did a super job at Swansea then took Forest from bottom of the league to promotion, then kept them up. All whilst working for a nut job owner. Not to mention his pedigree in youth development.

Wasn't he responsible for signing hundreds of players at Forest when they went up? That didn't work out well.

Rohl, Potter, Manning, Still,

Those saying paying ÂŁ5m payout means we cannot get someone are not correct - we would get more from McKenna leaving. I think the point is probably more that ÂŁ5m is probably just a rumour as he would be mental to sign a contract with that on knowing what Sheffield Wednesdays owners are like.

Plus McKenna isn't leaving.

I think Cooper and Potter are two managers who I 'think' would fit out club in terms of personality (worth considering given the issue Sunderland had with Beale).

Rohl is obviously one to watch, but throwing him into a PL team with no real experience or chance to build into it....too much for me right now. Wouldn't be upset though.

Edin Terzic at Dortmund? Young, did coaching in England, studied sport at Uni, worked under Klopp. Sort of profile we'd look for perhaps.....getting him tough though I suspect!

Michel at Girona? Money wise, we could do it, but they're in the Champ League now, doubt he'd leave.

None of this I want to happen.

Are we completely discounting Liam Manning now? We all know that structure behind the club also helps a manager....just as an example.

The fans that he told to f*** off were joining Norwich fans in slating our team during an East Anglian derby. Hard to argue that those 'fans' didn't deserve a bit back. I'd rather he hadn't done it but I will cry no tears for the berks who were chanting with Norwich fans against their own team during a derby game.

Point of order on Cooper. He played very pragmatic, attritional football here at Swansea. Potter was swashbuckling attack and not worry too much about the defence, Cooper the opposite. Copper also had a ridiculously good side - Morgan Gibbs-White, Rodon, Ayew, Jamal Lowe, Marc Guehi, Ryan Manning, Morgan Whittaker, Connor Roberts. All quality players, most of whom ended up in the PL after.

Kieran gives us the best of both worlds imo. We can defend set pieces in a way a otter's Swansea never could, yet we can play on the front foot the way Cooper's side couldn't. I genuinely don't think either are as good as Kieran could be (and maybe Kieran's already better).

I'm not sure how Cooper was at Forest though and of course the players and backroom staff all have a huge role to play, so I'm not sure if my observations from Swansea tell us that much.

Show me any other manager who behaves like that. He's got some serious mental issues.

Any objection to what he was doing he didn't like it. He loved pissing Town fans off and making insulting and derogatory comments about them.

And.....it was 'only' Ipswich. Little Ipswich. Imagine his attitude towards the fans in the places like West Ham, Leeds.

He is a hysteric and grade A pr1ck of a highest order. He's had no respect for ITFC and its fanbase whatsoever. It was all about him, his 1m from Evans and his narcissistic nature. Pr1ck and no-one wants him as a manager nowadays.

Anyway that is a bleak, dark past and thankfully a closed chapter.

No think that was the owner mainly.

Also I think the criticism levelled at Forest for that was very wide of the mark. They genuinely would not have had enough players to fill out a team. Loads were on loan/out of contract/left.

"None of this I want to happen". Indeed. The list of managers I think would do a better job is stupidly short and they're all unrealistic and well out of our price range. Klopp for example - yeah exactly, a stupid suggestion. But Kieran really is a top, top manager in the making imo. he can easily be up there with the best few in the world. He just needs the platform to prove it, which United would give him.

Will someone please just make it all go away!

“He’s got some serious mental issues” is a very silly and immature thing to say.

I wasn’t A huge fan of his style of football. But having met MM on a couple of occasions, he was always very polite and generous with his time. Said some silly things when he was in charge, but he’s only human. Very unfair to make a character judgement based on a couple of tiny little instances. Do better.

Potter
Still
Rohl
Carrick
Cooper

There's a start, but would imagine 1 or 2 of those might be difficult deals to do.

Not convinced by Carrick. The others there wouldn’t be a bad shout though
