Does anybody else think we should go back in for 17:08 - May 28 with 6024 viewsitfc1108

Ellis Simms.
Gave Man Utd a torrid time, and really looked the part in the 2nd half of the season.
I can see him fitting into our system, and having a good battle with Hirst for a starting role.

No.

He's £8m worth of pony.

Maybe Latte Lathe instead.
Might cost a bit more than Simms.

He actually cost £3.5m, £8m was if he plays for England, scores the winning goal in the World Cup final, is first man on Mars etc.

Ah, standard add-ons then.

Fair enough.

If he can blossom under the McKenna effect, sure - but I felt like it was a bullet dodged in the end.

No, Dyche let him go because his work rate was too inconsistent, we don't need a player who will press the defenders for 1 game in 3.

No - he's inconsistent, and can be super lazy.

No. Not good enough.

He had a better second half to the season but still was not too impressed. Coventry paid over the odds for him.

Think Latte Latt would be a better choice. Wouldn't say no to Simms as McKenna would improve him.

Mars! Really? I saw a post from a QPR fan once saying something like. “Where was Dozell, abducted by Aliens again.” Are you suggesting that might trigger another payout for us?

No, I'd rather see my dog in a town shirt than him. He is so inconsistent, and in some of the games I've seen him play in, no urgency and very slow and lazy.

It definitely wasn't a bullet dodged, he just took a while to settle in at Coventry. It seemed way too much money at time, so it was for the best that we didn't sign him.

In the end, whatever KM thinks is what matters, but it does seem that we moved on and we are looking at a higher level of player now. Not one that would move to the Championship.

I think VAR was more effective than Simms.

Definitely not. Dodged a bullet in my opinion. Seen quite a lot of him. First half of the season he was awful. He's definitely improved in terms of goals second half but his contribution in games is so low. His mobility and work rate is really poor. Can't see how he fits as our style of play demands pressing which he just hasn't done all season. He has some talent. He is a player you have to get and keep super fit. If he has an injury I could see him struggling.

McKenna has a history of going back in for players he's tried to sign before. Hirst, Taylor, Sarmiento. Can't imagine he thinks less of simms now he's scored a lot of goals in the championship.
