How many players and how far back does £20m go? 22:26 - Jun 30 with 5010 views | Mullet | I wonder how long and how many of our previous signings equal £20m? I’m assuming maybe as far back as Keane signings? The gear change this club has made is baffling.

not quite that far, quite a few undisclosed fees, but using the best guesses, i'd say it goes back to late stage mick, and aaron drinan. (including loanees, that's 100 players) hopefully omari will do better than aaron (but tbf you could buy 222 drinans for one omari...) [Post edited 30 Jun 2024 23:31]

How many players and how far back does £20m go? on 22:46 - Jun 30 with 4450 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Hurst spent a fair bit but it won't touch this. Add in what Keane spent and I think you are probably right. If you include loan fees and might only need to look as far as McCarthy but I don't think loan fees are as accurately known. Another way of looking at it, is what was our total spend last time we were in the Prem? Of course, the inflation in fees since then is massive.

Ooh! Infinite number of Luongos, must be particle physics! Now, I can't see a Luongo or a Massimo there. I always assumed they were force carriers, but with the 'o' ending presume they must sit on that lower row of leptons? A few years ago we had Hurst as our Strange and before that Keane as our Anticharm and even earlier Neil Thompson as our Bottom, but like most of life I don't really understand it all; the ITFC Standard Model. Anyone here who can explain? Cox?

Well you did! I was conducting an experiment on my Large Hardon Collider (ooh-er) unsure as to whether a Hoppy or a Keno would be first to the detector!

When you're trying to entice a particle to your detector, you have to know how to use the right conditions or 'bait'. At that, I am a master.

As a technicality, I didn’t actually answer you, just asked more questions, so your theory is a bit flawed.

How many players and how far back does £20m go? on 09:18 - Jul 1 with 3464 views | ElephantintheRoom | FFP might have put a ceiling on how much money state owned sportswashers and Ponzi schemes can throw around for the time being. Best bit of transfer business in Town’s history was selling Danny Hegan for £90,000 when the transfer record was £113,500. Your calculator can work that out for you.

How many players and how far back does £20m go? on 09:31 - Jul 1 with 3421 views | midastouch | I seem to recall that the Ipswich team which reached the playoffs under Mick McCarthy initially cost just £10,000 in transfer fees (for Tyrone Mings). It wasn't until we later signed Freddie Sears for £100,000 that the team's total transfer value increased to £110,000! I might be off with those figures (as thankfully, it feels like a long time ago) so please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

i think the opposite of strange is proper, so antistrange is most of mick's squad, bottom could be jaimie peters

pretty much right, with a couple of asterisks:- anderson was technically a swap with jet, so probably had a paper value of a few hundred k i think we paid an initial loan fee for didzy before getting him on a bosman after that hewitt barely played, but cost money not sure if taylor, nouble and wordsworth were still in the squad then, they cost money, but can't have had much involvement!

If Luongo travelled at the speed of light, he would be imo as he would have no Mass.
