A little thought as you enter the polling booth to make your mark.... on 07:56 - Jul 4 by blueasfook
I am OK with voting Labour since Corbyn went. Not entirely convinced by Starmer but he's 100% better than the previous leader.
I agree regarding Corbyn, he would have been a disaster for the country.
Personally if I could vote, I would abstain. I could never bring myself to vote labour.
It's been estimated by Henley and partners , in their migration report, that up to 9500 millionaires will migrate from the UK this year. This is second only to China. More than double the previous year.
2024 is likely to see "An unprecedented 128,000 millionaires relocate worldwide this year, eclipsing the previous record set in 2023"
Good luck with those potholes at the end of your street!

Bankers and Armagh, what would you both have us do? Continue with this sh1t show or vote change, no matter what that change may eventually be? No one here is star struck by Labour and in some respects it might be a case of they couldn't possibly do any worse, they just might be less sh1t. Your voting intentions are between you and the ballot box, but I don't understand why you're both calling out those of us who are trying to bring change, no matter if that turns out well or not. I feel it's disrespectful at best, when all we are trying to do is make a difference. You are both coming over as a bit high and mighty today. I have no idea of your voting preferences or even if you vote at all, but just cut those of us who do exercise our democratic right a little slack. Both of your comments so far seem designed only to goad. Based on your contributions to other threads ( that I welcome but don't always agree with), I think both of you could do better here. It's polling day in an important general election. Let's broaden the discussion and not just snipe from the sidelines.
Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

‘Feel a bit dirty’….a little rich for someone who spent their time cheerleading the man who dragged labour alongside the BNP in the list of parties investigated by the ECHR…
The adults are in the room now (well tomorrow), rather than a ragtag bunch of protesters wafting around Mao’s little red book.

If you are voting Conservative after the last 14 years then more fool you. Things might be better or worse under Labour I’m very much unsure but I’d rather try my luck with them.
If the last 14 years have been so bad explain why the Conservatives won a big majority in 2019 ? Nobody knew Covid was round the corner and there have been massive mistakes since that terrible time. However, Labour and their woke, open borders policies are going to destroy this country. Hold onto your hats !!

I am not calling anybody out but simply stating the case as I see it. In my opinion society has gone progressively downhill in my lifetime and I decide not to engage with legitimising those that have enabled that process. I think now is a good time to express that view.
"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."

You can't destroy what is already barely clinging on

He's not gone yet. But the voters of Islington North will ensure that he has by tomorrow morning.
Although judging by your down arrows you haven't quite moved on.
He's gone from the Labour leadership/party. His influence on British politics will be very minimal now, whether he gets in or not. That's what you wanted and you got it. It's now time to stop flogging that horse. It's as dead as the party you've supported most of your life will be by tomorrow morning
