Agree with this - can't remember exactly but didn't Axel sign after the season started last year? A full pre-season and we will see a completely different player I expect. He will be well in the reckoning for the starting spot. He will be above Wolf in the pecking order I suspect |  | | |

Its not unusual for new signings to be on the bench and incumbents played for the first game of the season. I doubt we will do that with RB or with Luongo's position. But wouldn't be surprised to see Woolfenden, Burgess, Hirst and Broadhead start.

Even if we bring in all those players, i just can't see McK going for all those changes, we've been such a settled side since he's been here, with gradual inclusions rather than wholesale changes. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if the majority of the team that finished the season, starts the first game.

Well, firstly, the deal isn’t done- so I didn’t consider him in my selection.
Secondly, there is such a thing as too many changes all at once- we’re going to have to change the goalkeeper and Johnson will start the season I imagine while Clarke recovers from the operation(s)
Changing a 3rd member of that unit of 5 could be a step too far, might be best to ease Greaves in while simultaneously giving Burgess an opportunity to impress. | | | |
