I believe you're thinking of Trafford? From memory, Burnley tightened up when Muric came in. As said, Burnley fans are saying we're getting him for a bargain price.
He did have that one absolute mare against Brighton where he let the ball roll under his feet into the net.
Would be silly to judge any player on one incident in their career though
Was excellent the year Burnley got promoted. Not really sure why Burnley signed Trafford last summer, and that seemed to be the consensus amongst the Burnley fans (from what I saw on social media at the time).
Think that’ll prove to be another shrewd addition.
No, that was muric. He's not very good with his feet and made a couple of howlers
Not very good with his feet?! Are you okay?
One howler and that makes him crap with his feet? Was the best keeper in the Championship the year Burnley got promoted and most of their fans couldn’t understand why they signed Trafford to play instead of him.
He had a very good Championship season for Burnley in 22/23.
Save percentage: 75% Goals prevented/lost over season: +5 Pass accuracy: 80% Long ball accuracy: 49% High claim percentage: 11%
People will be pleased to see how many crosses he stopped, that's a very high percentage for a keeper these days. It's a high passing accuracy too, especially long ball. Shot-stopping numbers great, puts him a good way ahead of our options last season if his normal level. His numbers are even better for his spell in the PL, though I hear he had a calamity moment in one game too aha. He replaced Trafford for the last 10 games of the season, Trafford dropping to the bench. He was with Man City for 7 years before Burnley bought him for £3M - a leaving gift for Kompany perhaps.
This excites me a great deal! (More than Rushworth would have.)

I'm not looking to give Muric an excuse but would it be fair to say that the pass back from the Burnley defender was a touch heavy too ?
Quick look at Burnley forum and the great majority are fans of him. Encouraging. And they think 8-10 million is not enough. 6ft 6" keeper.... can he be that good with his feet being that tall, though?

His feet are not that tall though...but they are a long way away.
[edit] for the umpteenth time have had to correct 'Aro' from 'Arlo' in the thread title.

Taller players past and present include Courtois, Dan Burn, Crouchy and Kanu. 🤓 The key is to have good eyes.

You've listed all the tall players who are bit handy with their feet..... but you haven't mentioned the much larger list of tall players who are cack with their feet. Have you not heard of the old footie saying" nice touch for a big lad". There's a reason for that.

Don’t think he made too many, he only played 10 games last season, Trafford played 28.
Burnley faithful seem to think he’s largely fantastic with the odd howler there, although they cite that down to his age & risk nature of the way they played, which is what also saw from Hladky on a couple of occasions, punished at PNE if I recall correctly.

True true but it is physically possible to be very tall and also good with your feet. We have seen it before. Not just keeper good but actually good. Burnley fans are of the opinion that he's good with his feet. Promising.
But baffled by the Titus Bramble treatment he’s getting on here. Especially given Hladky and Walton had their share of mistakes under McKenna.
Schooled by Man City and decent enough in the championship. The fact he’s a signing with Prem experience is another tick for me. I’m not sure if it’s fair to say we are signing players with a view simply to make money or boss the Championship if we go down, but we’d foolish to ignore either given how it goes for most promoted teams.
I'd say mixed reaction after an initial positive response. Some don't really seem to rate him. Is he worth £10m? Going off that, I have the same feelings about him as I do Delap. A reasonable signing but perhaps over-priced.
The only decent patch of form that Burnley had was right after the switch to Muric.
14 from 28 with Trafford.
10 from 10 with Muric.
It’s unfair to criticize him for Burnley’s season or for not being first choice. He was clearly better than Trafford and who knows how their season goes if he was the number one all season long.
He is of a good age. He is good with his feet. His distribution is very strong.
This doesn’t feel like an act of desperation. I think we went in for him because we really like his potential.
Maybe he is the 'good but not great' keeper that will provide like for like competition for Walton and they will kick each other on to give Town sufficient proficiency as a Premier League side with decent keeper and keeper cover.
If this signing happens does it mean a reduction in playing out fro the back in the coming season ?
I think if we pay this sort of money for him, he’s number 1!
From what I saw last season Trafford was great with his feet but couldn't catch a cold, Muric looked a very solid keeper but made a couple of howlers with the ball at his feet...
