Difficult tbh as it's not clear what is beyond our reach.
LOLZ the previous person says about Phillips, but at present Everton are linked with a loan move, so why couldn't we?, end of the day we are indeed a prem side who will be in our own league table with the likes of everton anyway..

Feels like there's a few options at play.
1 - We are waiting on some loan deals.
2 - I think Sheaf's deal is running out in next year, we are waiting for the price to come down before making a move if we like him. Edit Just checked and it runs out in 2026, so ignore me! [Post edited 24 Jul 2024 12:19]

In all honesty, it looks like you're just naming players that you've heard of and not giving it any thought
Phillips does not fit the profile of the type of player we go for. He's very much on a downward trajectory, doesn't come from a top academy, has been criticised for a lack of athleticism, would break the wage structure, west ham coaches were shocked at his lack of effort in training sessions etc

Mctominay, on the for sale list, the likes of Fulham interested, obviously KM connection is my thoughts on this one.
Macguire, ill be intrigued to see where he ends up, most clubs appear well stocked in defence, especially to bring in 31 year old Macguire, again KM link reason behind the name choosing.

We've lost Travis and Ball. Don't think Humphrey's played any minutes for us last season in CM. Taylor continues to develop and hopefully will have a good season but still not clear he can regularly start in the Luongo role.
We're only one CM injury away from being really light in that area for me. Personally think we'll see one perm and one loan. | |
