We still have over 30 days before the transfer window closes. If rumours are correct a couple of players are already pretty close to signing. That would take us to 7. I would hazard a guess at maybe two more transfer fees and two or three loans. But really it's all guesswork. We also cannot be sure of those playing last season how many will step up and be good enough for the Premier League. I would have thought currently we need another robust midfielder and another forward. Defensive wise who partners Greaves and out of what we have are they good enough.

Defensively I think we have enough, other than a covering LB/RB. I think if we can get at least one DCM in and a CF as starters, then we are going to be ok. This season should be about survival, nothing else.

A lot of PL clubs seem to be in the same boat. I read Cooper was getting a bit tetchy about Leicester's lack of progress with signings yesterday as well. Expect the Euros has delayed a lot of transfer activity and we will start to see more happening over the next couple of weeks.

I thought we created quite a lot of good attacking opportunities yesterday, just couldn't get people on the end of crosses, or failed to hit the target. More a matter of fine-tuning than a serious overhaul.

What’s important is to not over dramatise. Friendlies are exactly what they are, look at recent results, do you think Chelsea and Manchester City are over analysing losing to Celtic recently? Nope. I do feel that in CM we aren’t strong enough and need a bit more about us than simply working hard. However, I do feel that KM will address that before the season starts.

I think by mckennas expression yesterday. He realises what's in front front of him..basically same team as last season. A year older ..no one brought in with a good bit of Premier league experience..and injuries around the camp.not looking good
