Wellington is an exciting young player, Southampton getting him is bit of a coup. He's played 140 odd 1st team games for one of Brazils biggest clubs and and won 3 trophies there. Juan I know less about but has played 80 odd games, at 23 and 22 respectively and both free transfers it's good business.
Whether it's enough to keep them up, especially as they don't arrive until Jan remains to be seen but to dimiss them just becaues you haven't heard of them is short sighted.

How do you know they’ve got a really good deal. Delap could go on to score/assist many more goals and have a post ITFC resale value or BD might be costing significantly more than LDp when you add back the wages 🤷🏻♂️ | |

I personally think Brereton Diaz would have been a better fit for us right now, and at half the price of Delap, it looks a steal.
That doesn't mean I don't think Delap is a talented player with a bright future. Whilst looking at future talents is great, and it is obviously exciting, opportunity to future profits, we also have to look at the here and now, and that is Premier League football.

Does he have the qualities McKenna wants though? Agree it looks a good buy at that price but the ability or willingness to press is enormous for McKenna. Can Diaz do that? Would be interested to see how his stats compare to Hirst/Delap. | | | |

We don't know if it's half the price though, that's just the transfer fee and doesn't take salary into account. Also we must be interested in a lot more players than the ones that get leaked. Maybe we were interested but his preference was Southampton? |  | | |
