Don't think it's that so much, just that there is still time to get players in. As a squad player, I would see this as a great chance to show the manager that I can make the step up. It's going to be a long season if people keep with their unrealistic targets. Let's just all calm down and enjoy the ride. It's taken us far to long to get back up there not to enjoy. |  |

Football isn't like that though. Things can move very quickly or fairly slowly. We have strengthened in goal, defence and attack, so very good already. Just the midfield and a CF to sort. We have 38 games for survival, so time for those coming in to make their mark. | |

I wouldn't say we've strengthened our attack as yet. We've added Delap which isn't an issue. But we've lost moore. Sarmiento. Jackson. So attacking wise at least in numbers we are weaker
Midfield is painfully light
Defence I do agree looks sorted which is a massive plus as they can crack on and get working together.
Muric.. I like the prospect. Stats look good. Need games to see if he's better than Hladky.
Two main positions need covering now. Midfield and that LW spot. Probably need 2 of each of those positions. |  |

I would also add that we have lost Jackson from attack too. (EDIT: somehow missed that you had included him.) I am sure we have only done so in full expectation of getting better than all of those because each one could have been signed if we had wanted them. The balance is taking enough time to get the right players in and not ending up without anything because we couldn't get the deals over the line. However, that is always going to be a balancing act and is one we have landed on the right side of in each of our past 3-4 windows. [Post edited 2 Aug 2024 21:42]
