Eh?

Some auto correct issues in the match report?!?

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

I am not illegitimate. Possibly I may be in a minority on here.

Did I hear a noise that sounded rather like a sort of bump?

Never heard it called that before!
I understand why players do it, but I don't like to see it. I worry a well struck ball against the back of the head would cause a serious injury.
Thought it was some crazy auto correct on "defender".

Being saying it for a couple of season in Premier league games .

I personally think it's the most stupid tim pot thing you can witness at a football match. Whoever dreamed it up must be laughing their heads off that such a daft thing has been widely copied.

It's something that I don't like and would outlaw. A free kick from close in doesn't become quite a big advantage as it should be.

I disagree completely. I don't like it - but it's completely legitimate.

Next thing we will be outlawing a man on the line etc...

And these footballers who ostensibly wear masks because of injury, they should be called out as outlaws.

Anyone else notice the ref made Davis move from his original position . It appeared his feet were in the way of where Haaland wanted to stand.

Yeah what was that about.

Haaland was moaning and the ref even sprayed around Davis.

As for the whole Davis was already going down, let’s say he was, how does that then cancel out the blatant foul on him?

I suppose mention of a French hideaway would cause things to go a bit quiet on this thread.

Mind you, I'm quite glad that no one has inadvertently bumped it for the last seven hours or so...

You can't outlaw lying down on the pitch, Jack Grealish would be booked every game.

Oh, actually, you have a point.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Haha indeed.

In all seriousness I think it gives the defending team a slight unfair advantage as from that close in your wall can jump and in essence gives at least an extra foot to the wall.

Perhaps me saying outlaw it was a bit far, but I hate it.

Is it fair that the goalkeeper can use his hands? Or that the attackers (other than the taker) don't have to be 10 yards away from the free kick? Or that the goalkeeper can't use his hands in the attacking area too?

Ultimately for every attacking player in the wall, that is one fewer defender marking, etc. With one player laying down that is one player's width narrower a wall too. I don't see the problem. It looked strange when they started doing it but I understand why and it is fine with me.

I am waiting for other new innovations like the attacker on the shoulders of a team mate to gain a height advantage from a corner (rugby line-out style). I guess this must be against the rules or would have happened by now!
