As it stands at the moment... 00:22 - Aug 28 with 3300 viewseddiespearitt03

With the new signings included , what would be your starting 11. ?

There will have to be some tough and unpopular decisions made.

Not sure why you wouldn't try and get England's player of the year 2022 in the team and back to his best

Muric
Tuanzebe O'Shea Greaves Davis
Morsy Phillips
Hutchinson Szmodics J.Clarke
Delap

tbf I gave no idea what Cajuste is like as a footballer

It's quite difficult actually we we have a fair few to choose from.

Probable finishers out of: Ogbene/Cajuste/Chaplin/Burns/Hirst

I'd go with that team, definitely.

Muric
Tuanzebe - Woolfenden - Greaves - Davis
Morsy - Cajuste
Hutchinson - Szmodics - Clarke
Delap

Subs: Walton, Townsend, O'Shea, Phillips, Luongo, Taylor, Ogbene, Chaplin, Al-Hamidi (or new striker)

My gut feeling is, unless Woolfenden plays out of his skin against Fulham, then O'Shea will come in against Brighton. But McKenna did introduce Muric to the starting line up despite Walton not doing anything wrong so...

Cajuste or Phillips is a difficult one. Again I wonder if Phillips may be given time off the bench, so he has less pressure and expectation to start with.

I think the front four picks themselves.

Much more likely Phillips starts than comes off the bench. I think you're right otherwise.

Luongo will probably start after the debate around the other two.

Against an 'average' opposition, assuming all fit, and guessing a bit at some of the new lads who I've only seen bits of:

===Starters=============================
--------------------------Muric
H Clarke-------O'Shea-------Greaves
--------------Morsy--------------Phillips---------Davis
Burns---------Hutchinson---------J Clarke
--------------------------Delap

===Finishers============================
--------------------------Muric
H Clarke-------O'Shea-------Greaves
--------------Morsy--------------Cajuste---------Davis
Ogbene--------Chaplin-------------Szmodics
--------------------------Hirst

If Harry Clarke is fully fit and up to speed I fancy his energy against less threatening opponents

* Johnson or Tuanzebe in for H Clarke against the top teams
* Tuanzebe in for O'Shea against big, physical forwards
* Woolfy in for O'Shea when we expect to dominate the ball

I was being hypothetical with no injuries. I genuinely believe Walton is as good if not better than Muric, and that is not based on Saturdays errors. I also think Walton is not as bad as playing from the back as many seem to believe. Obviously Muric has been bought in as No1 though

Harry Clarke over Ben Johnson? Interesting!

Axel to be released?

Harry Clarke will be an interesting one when fit again.

Tuanzebe is an out-and-out defender. Johnson seems to be a bit of a headless chicken in the opposition half. Clarke is the best attacking option of the three.

That said, Clarke is suspect in defence. Tuanzebe is streets ahead of him as a defender.

That probably leaves us with Tuanzebe as a starter and Clarke as a finisher should we be trailing. That is where we ended up last year. Not sure where Johnson fits into the picture as he is also primarily a defender, but Tuanzebe seems to be the better of the two.

Hard to see what plan is for RB, realsitically I guess Johnson starts long term, backed up by Clarke and Axel goes elsewhere looking at contract situations

Yeah, you have to think Axel's probably here for the next 12 months as a steadying presence with PL experience, before Johnson and Clarke duke it out for RB.

I can see Clarke going out on loan to start with, to get some consistent game time. Then the situation revisited in the summer.

Think that’s what I’d have and add Broja or other striker and the options are likely to make my head explode.
