Surprised anyone has been watching it.
I follow such things on Politics Live on the Guardian.
The consensus among the commentariat is that Cleverly's was the best speech by some margin, and both the BBC and Christopher Hope reported that it went down well in the hall.

5 live were reporting the same yesterday, although they did say that although MPs thought he was coming across best in presentation, that wasn't necessarily translating into potential votes with many saying they were still undecided. I agree that he comes across as the best speaker out of that bunch (low bar).
As an amusing aside, I saw the headline in the Gurniad earlier where Cleverly was encouraging Conservatives to 'more normal'. Good luck with that!

dismiss from the four all you think wouldn't make a good leader then. if you have a vote, abstain.
I saw about 2 minutes of 'highlights' of their speeches. They all talk in the same tone using the same tactics telling the public what we care about. It's just a game to them.
The fact that there seems to be some glee amongst them that they’ve left such a clusterfk for the new government shows to total disdain they have for us, and the country. Total self-serving w@knees that aren’t even fit to be in opposition.

Saw a comment today that people voted for 500 MPs to the left and 5 to the right, so the answer is obviously to move to the right

Personally I find it odd that all of the Tory leadership hopefuls are able to tell in great detail what they think has made the UK great - but none of them are able to recall that they were in power for fourteen years.

This is correct obviously.
The Tory party political broadcast I saw earlier this evening however was a superbly brutal assault on labour over the fuel payments. Whatever you think of that policy, it’s an unbelievably well executed piece of comms from their back office. It’ll be on the iPlayer.
Even at my peak of Conservative Party fandom I would struggle to watch a conference for any length. They are all so cringe. That goes for all the party conferences.

For all the use that shower of self serving cockwombles are, they may as well save themselves the trouble of ever visiting the HoC and just leave a picture of another useless idiot Neville Chamberlain on the front seat.
There’s plenty of other, more worthy opposition MPs to do the behind the scenes parliamentary work. But then they wouldn’t be able to trouser their no doubt inflated expenses and stuff their faces with HoC nosebag. I gather it’s pretty good, though not up to the the 5 Star HoL fare.

I don't support either, providing balance.
"You're not going to win elections having forced two unelected Prime Ministers on the electorate. Their manifesto was dull & uninspiring. They lost my vote."
So you were Tory up until the last election, when you didn't vote for anyone.
I'm not quite sure calling labour "The scumbag party" is really providing balance.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Clearly showing yourself up as knowing nothing about politics. The tone and tactics were clearly different. The only common denominator was they they were all tories - probably why you responded as you did

All four were clearly written to appeal to gammons.

Changing tack slightly, the Telegraph (like some on TWTD) has an obsession with Corbyn, but I thought this today took some beating for its bizarreness.

I've voted Labour many times, I even voted LibDem once, & voted for Boris in 2019 after Labours two years obstructing the Brexit vote. Right now nobody gets my vote. Toerags v Scumbags pretty much sums it up!
